Woolly Bear is a medium-sized species of bear named after the hairy caterpillar. Depending on a subspecies, its long thick shaggy fur can be either dark brown, light brown, blonde, white, gray, or black, and the thick woolly fur protects the bear in winter and in other cold regions on Earth. Its claws is extremely long and its lower fangs (canine teeth) are sharp huge. Their main sources of food normally includes meat but it formerly feeds on plants, but this species became fully carnivorous (unlike the polar bear, which still rarely feeds on plants despite being largely carnivorous). Woolly bears are native to Eurasia, but has been introduced to Alaska and northern Canada to help control the population of elk, moose, and other species of large wild non-endangered deer.
