Plot

In 1610 in the Native American village of Minoa, Mississippi Chief Nuwoa tells his people the Ka'i' the story of the wolf, it's bite and transformation from man or woman at the full moon, rise when the Wolfsbane flower blooms and destruction only at the ground's most hardening elements. The night of this story the village's most prominent hunter Sailo is attacked while hunting in the woods alone by a werewolf and is bitten. He returns to the village and is tended to by his wife Natia and daughter Sefina before British colonists arrive and decimate the village, slaughtering many by gunfire including Sailo's wife and child as the full moon rises.

Sailo transforms into a werewolf himself and rips into many of the soldiers until he is subdued in a Wolfsbane field, the full moon passes and he reverts to human allowing his capture.

He is brought before the in renovation plantation of Lord Englehorn, his wife and daughter. His invulnerability to their bullets and weapons astonishes and horrifies Englehorn who orders him imprisoned and the remaining Kai'i' executed. Englehorn's sympathetic young daughter Betty attempts to release Sailo only for him to be recaptured immediately following and through the torture and murder of their Chief, his weakness of Wolfsbane gathered, force fed the flower resulting in him being locked in a comatose state before being caged and left buried in the earth.

In present day 2018 an excavation crew led by Duke Winslow Beckett uncovers Sailo and releases him, bringing him back to his apartment and restoring him to health. Sailo escapes that night after attacking Winslow and runs out into the night ultimately coming across Winslow's neighbor, a teenage student Genevieve Carrum who he mistakes for his daughter and who he saves from drunken male attackers with his ferocious strength, as the full moon arises and he shifts into a werewolf, pursuing Genevieve. He is stunned and shot with Wolfsbane bullets by Duke. Awakening back at the apartment with Genevieve there, Duke informs he works for a man named Dr. Jekyll who had him unearthed, and Genevieve now must keep close and the secret of what she has seen, she agrees on part of Sailo saving her life. He informs that another werewolf is loose in Jackson, Mississippi killing people.

Sailo is brought to Dr. Jekyll's local warehouse set up and introduced to a private army unit led by Donald Guthries who along with scholar Newhill will accompany him to the Mississippi Wilderness, the place where the killing wolf brings it's victims, all descendants of the founding fathers of Jackson. In the wilderness after coming across female agent Dennings who had left for home earlier, Privates Holmes, Alcone, Gillis, Muldoon and Mendes are killed by the attacking werewolf which also sets up off an explosion of the group's vehicles. Sailo is left injured by the werewolf which reveals itself as Guthries and offers the remaining soldiers and medics the chance to be like them, live and reclaim what is theirs. Privates Norris and the younger Packer brother accept whilst the others refuse prompting an attack from all the bad werewolves, as Guthries turns them.

Newhill pulls Sailo from the scene as the others retreat escaping from the attack. Back at Jekyll's warehouse Jekyll in his Hyde form does battle with another werewolf that appears and attacks to kill Genevieve, ultimately Jekyll/Hyde is defeated but Winslow incapacitates the wolf with wolfsbane tranquillisers before attempting to administer Jekyll's serum to him and is ultimately crushed by Hyde as he reverts back.

Remaining operative Newhaven helps Genevieve imprison both Hyde and the attacking werewolf, which as Sailo, Newhill and the remaining soldiers return is revealed as Anamaria Englehorn, from 1610, wife of the former colonial lord Englehorn. A breakout occurs as she awakes as Guthries and his wolves storm the warehouse and free her.
