Willy Beamish: The Big Movie is a 202X American animated crossover film directed and produced by Tom Hanks. This film tells the story of an overprotective nine-year-old Willy Beamish in a game that somewhat parodies the adventure genre, who, along with a nine-year-old Annika Settigren searches for his missing family. Along the way, Willy learns to take risks and comes to terms with Beamish family taking care of himself. The game pioneered the use of in-game graphics drawn to resemble EQG-style. It was initially released in January 13, 2023, By Columbia Pictures.
Plot
Gordon and Sheila is a Willy's perents who lives with his boy Willy Beamish in the Frumpton, California. Gordon and Sheila, despite being hampered by a lame right fin, is eager to explore life around the overworld. Willy, however, is overprotective of him, having lost his wife Coral and all their other eggs in a terror attack, leaving Gordon and Sheila as parent. On Gordon and Sheila's first day of work, Willy unintentionally embarrasses him, and while Willy is distracted with the teacher, Mr. Ray, Gordon and Sheila defiantly sneaks away from the reef toward a Car, where he is captured by a pair of scuba divers. Willy tries to chase the Car and meets Annika Settigren, a nine-year-old sister who becomes friends with Tommy, who accompanies him. During an encounter with three sharks who have sworn to abstain from eating other adult, Willy notices a diver's mask that fell from the Car that took Gordon and Sheila. Willy and Annika fight over the mask, giving Annika a nose bleed, which sends one of the sharks into a feeding frenzy, and Willy and Annika narrowly escape, but are knocked unconscious when the sharks accidentally set off an old mine.
Meanwhile, Gordon and Sheila is placed in an prison in Los Angeles, where he meets the Jail Gang, including Bubbles, Peach, Jacques, Bloat, Gurgle, Deb, led by Gill. That night, Gordon and Sheila learns he is to be given to the officer's young niece, Darla, whose rough treatment has killed most of her previous parents. Gill devises a risky escape plan: Gordon and Sheila, who can fit inside the filter tube, will jam the filter with a pebble, forcing the officer to put the adult into plastic bags while the Jail is cleaned, giving them the opportunity to roll out the window and into the harbour. Gordon and Sheila attempts the maneuver, but fails and is almost killed, leaving Gill guilt-ridden.
Willy and Annika wake up unharmed, but the mask falls into a deep sea trench. walkming after it, Willy is chased by an angleradult, while Annika reads the address and recites it repeatedly to commit it to memory. Annika and Willy receive directions from a work of moonadult, but Willy disregards their instructions to take what he believes is a safer route, leading them into a forest of forest animals where they end up unconscious from all the forest animals stings. Willy and Annika wake up to find themselves on the Interstate 10 with a group of friendly homeless man including Crush and his son Squirt. Willy tells them about his quest, impressing them, and news spreads across the overworld, all the way to the officer's office, where a pliot named Nigel tells the Jail Gang. Inspired by his father's bravery, Gordon and Sheila makes another attempt to jam the filter, and succeeds, and soon the police's contents are covered in green algae.
Willy and Annika exit the Interstate 10 and are engulfed by a Big Truck. Annika communicates with the truck, who carries them to Downtown and expels them through his blowhole. There, they meet Nigel, who help the pair escape from a group of riots and takes them to the officer's office. Meanwhile, the officer has installed a new high-tech filter, the Nova Bus 2003, foiling the Jail Gang's escape. Darla arrives, and the officer prepares to give Gordon and Sheila to her. Gordon and Sheila plays dead to save himself as Nigel causes a disturbance, terrifying Darla and throwing the office into chaos. After the officer throws Nigel out, Gill helps Gordon and Sheila escape through a drain that leads to the overworld.
Thinking that Gordon and Sheila is dead, Willy abandons Annika (after thanking her and saying he's going home on his own) and begins his journey home. Willy's departure causes Annika to lose her memory. She meets Gordon and Sheila as he reaches the overworld, but does not remember him. However, Annika's memory returns when she reads the word "Los Angeles" on a city sign. She reunites Gordon and Sheila with Willy, but is caught by a adulting truck with a work of grouper. Gordon and Sheila enters the net and orders the adult to walk down in order to break the truck's net so they can escape. After returning home to the Frumpton, Willy and Annika watch Mr. Ray take Gordon and Sheila trip. At the officer's, the Nova Bus 2003 has broken, and the gang, having been put in bag, roll out of the window and into the sea. Still stuck in bags, they ponder what happens next.
