What if:
- Warner Communication merged with Time Inc. and Turner Broadcasting System into one company.
- Nickelodeon, MTV, and The Movie Channel stayed with Warner-Amex Satellite Entertainment?
- News Corporation were owned by the merged company.
- The merged company launched Syfy and Discovery Channel.
- The merged company bought MGM, United Artists, Orion Pictures, and Lucasfilm.
Well, it's an unrealistic alternate scenario, but here is what would really happen.
List of changes[]
- The 1970 merger of Warner Communications, Time, Inc., and Turner Broadcasting System would be announced on March 2, 1970, and would be completed on February 11, 1971.
- The merged company would be named Time Warner.
- TBA
- TimeWarner would not sell Nickelodeon, MTV, and VH1 to Viacom.
- Cartoon Network would still exist, but the channel would become more different, and Cartoon Network would be a sister channel of Nickelodeon. This means that the channel Nicktoons wouldn't exist in this universe.
- MTV would likely be the channel that airs music videos, interviews, and entertainment shows for teens and young adults.
