Walt Disney Wonder Studios was an American studio founded in 2015 by Gary Marsh and Gary Krisel that was a subsidiary and division of the Walt Disney Studios, a division of The Walt Disney Company. Its first film was Disney In The House: Introduction on August 26, 2016, followed by Critter Country on November 11, 2016, and then their first sequel, Critter Country 2 on May 12, 2017. It was closed down on May 30, 2024.
History
2015-2024
Walt Disney Wonder Studios was founded and based in Anaheim, California. The first film from the studio was Disney In The House: Introduction, which started the studio's flagship series, the Disney In The House franchise.
Closure
On March 4, 2024, Disney announced that it was closing down Walt Disney Wonder Studios on May 30, 2024. In addition, other future projects were cancelled. The rights to Walt Disney Wonder Studios' film library and intellectual properties are retained by Disney.
