WBC is a American Basic Cable and Satellite televison channel that is owned by Warner Bros.The channel airs old Warner Brothers TV shows and theatrically relased moives along with a limted amount of orginal programing.The Channels name orginally stood for "Warner Brothers Channel",but since 2012 the full name has been deemphasized as a result of major popularity

The channel was made due to dropping of the WB network going internet exclusive and Warner Bros still wanting attetion and the producers still wanting to entertain on TV,seeing basic cable channels like AMC and FX doing as good as Premuim cables.

The Channel orginally was a Premium cable network but in 2011 changed to basic cable as views started lowing since more customers dropped it due to lack in entertaing programing

As of March 2014,WBC is Recived by approximity 40,831,992 American Households that subscribe to pay televison service

History

Launch (2008-2009)

WBC Launched as Warner Brothers Channel on May 1,2008 as a premium cable network that focused on moives distubited by Warner Bros. they were usaully shown in the afternoon but at night would show the most popular Warner Bros films uncut and unrated.and would have film marthon of moive series

WBC had launched with 4 TV series Hunters, Juvinile, Star Gaze and inisde Warner Bros. Hunters is the only show that is still currently on air as the shows got bad reviews with the exception of Hunters which was nomnaited for an Emmy that year,Rest were expted to be cancled they Kept Hunters and Juvinile but cancled Star Gazed and Inside Warner Bron turing into an exclusive online series.

By the End of 2008 WBC had 22,000 subscribers and had Promised for more orginal programming in 2009.In 2009 They annouced 8 new shows to premire on the channel one being devloped was a live-action Batman tv show in hype after the critical and box office success of The Dark Knight and an sequel series to American Psycho and promised to relases the show before the moives 10 year anniversery or the novels 20th anniversry.Juvinile and Hunters both came for an Season 2 along with new shows Roar,Killer,Kids Rule and Trintiy.All 4 shows were cancled and American Psycho was to premire by Late 2009 but Developer Aaron Sorkin told the channel to premire 2010 as he cancled it as he did not like how it went out and wanted to re-do season 1 but the producers and the cast was against this but WBC canceld the series,Jason Bateman was orginally the star of the show and was with Sorkin on the decsion of re-doing season 1.The Batman TV Series was named Wayne and had Wes Bentely portraying Bruce Wayne through rumor of Christian Bale staring as the caped crusader but WBC put the show on hold before Production began as they wanted the series to have an 2011 premire instead of an 2010 premire.

By the end of the year though they now had 32,000 subcribers and a petion was started to force the network to become a basic network channel and for a need 75,000 names needed by December 2009, They had 36,000 names signed though many expected the Wayne and Hunters to go to CW since many thought they would announce the cancelation of the channel instead on December 29 Warner Brother announced the channel had been demoted and would become an basic cable channel all the subscribers would not have to pay for the moth of December or January and the channel would launch as basic cable in February 2010

Rise in Popularity (2010-2011)

With the fact of the channel being basic cable Hunters Popularity had skyrocketed and WBC had a jump in views.They then started shwoing previous Warner Bros TV shows as they added Friends and Seinfield, they also added Family Guy and American Dad with the deal of airing new epsidoes a day after they were aired.Later at Comic Con 2010 they premired the trailer of American Psycho as the show with a new leading actor and a majority of the previous cast came back Adam Brody was re-casted as Patrick Bateman Jr the protagonist since other names were in for the role of Patrick Bateman Jr actors Danile Radcliffe,Jamie Blackley, and Aiden Tuner were considered for the role but Adam Brody got it and Jason Bateman would return but as a supporting Character instead.Also as Wayne was premiriering a week after Comic Con they decied to show the first episode at the Con and as AMC's Walking Dead had gotten favorable reviews and ratings Warner Bros announced there "Project Z" was revelaed to be a rival TV show to the Walking Dead with the show The Dead that would premire in 2012.

Just a Little Bit,More (2012-Present)

As they have began more popular with Wayne being a Hit having claimed Critical acclaim and being nomonatied for awards same for American Psycho receving critcial Acclaim and winning Best Opeing for a Show and Adam Brody being Nomonatied three for best leading actor 3 years in a row Along with the show being nomnaited for the fist Four seasons for best Drama series,During the Season 2 finale they revealed there new slogan "Just a Littler Bot,More".In Spring of 2012 saw the premire of The Dead.It became a Hit and would later become the one of the most watched scripted tv show of all time with WBC Annoucing the series for a third season.

in 2012 summer,WBC premired Master of Disguise,which came out with decent reviews saying it has a well paced show and characters.Also Law&Order Miami premired on the channel.The channel signed a deal with Netflix that for all of their original programinng 2 months before the shows new season premired they would add the previous season so fans could catch up on the series before the new season.Also in the deal Netflix could develop an exculsive season or series for Hunters,American Psycho and Wayne.

in Fall of 2012,They began having Movie Marathons on Saturdys and between 4-9am insted of showing infomericals they would show epsiodes of previously Canceld shows.2012 also Saw the Premire of Unities and Crowfield,Crowfield recivced good reviews and

in Early 2013,They annouced devlopment of a Tomb Raider Tv series inspired by the 2013 game,they also announced an miniseries InHuman to premire on the channel also.

in Summer 2013,The Channel announced that Season 6 of Hunters would premire January 2014 and that it would be there last to one of the first programs of the channel and had announced a Season 4 & 5 of Wayne.Aslo that summer had te premire of The Lonley Island Tv series.

In Fall 2013 the Channel re-newed American Psycho for 3 more seasons and also WBC bought the rights to The Killing and will air it's final epsidoes

in 2014 they announced the American adaption of Britian comedy,The Peep Show the adaption would star Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Seth Rogan.In March 2014 after a dispute over view rights between WBC and USA Network WBC Gave up the rights of veiwing Law and Order:Miami.During the casting of The Tomb Raider show WBC contacted Lionsgate Televison and after a talk they announced to Cancel the show.Brina Evigan and Emma Watson were both thought of for the role of Lara Croft.

Programing

Though still showing Moives WBC Has still had line of Original series since the starting of the channel and in recent years has became known for it's programing.The bringing of Hunters to basic cable and then Wayne the next year along side American Psycho put WBC in the same catogry with AMC of having a reputation on par with Premium cable networks HBO and Showtime.
