Urban black bears

These urban black bears are in a dump site in California.

The Urban black bear is a black bear subspecies that lives in cities, towns, urban areas, and suburbs of North America, as well as woodlands, forests, swamps, savannahs, and grasslands of North America. Unlike other bears, they are no longer considered very aggressive and are now passive (about as peaceful as a manatee). They live very well with humans and tolerates well with human activities. They can reproduce faster and a little more frequently than other bears, allowing this bear subspecies to survive in all human environments.
