Transformers: More than Meets the Eye is an upcoming science fiction action film based on the Transformers toy line and primarily influenced by the Generation 1 storyline. Directed by Jon Watts, the film stars Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgård, Robert Pattinson, and Robert Downey Jr. The film will center around the Autobots and Decepticons' arrival from Cybertron to Earth to search for new sources of energy to revitalize their war efforts.

Transformers: More than Meets the Eye was released in the United States on June 24, 2022, by Paramount Pictures. The film received widespread praise for Watts' direction, Holland and Pattinson's performances, the nostalgic tone, visual effects, musical score, and action sequences. Two sequels, Into the Cyberverse and Across the Cyberverse, are in production.

Reception[]

Transformers: More than Meets the Eye received a positive reception from critics and fans. On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 82% based on 232 reviews, with an average rating of 7.5/10. Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 64 out of 100, based on 52 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews". Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "A" on an A+ to F scale, while PostTrak reported filmgoers gave a 95% overall positive score and a 87% "definite recommend".
