Those Darned Toys! or Toying Around (original title) is an American live-action/experimental comedy recorded using a SamsungTM tablet that aired on The CC (Cartoon Comedy) as its first live-action project. It is part of a 2-project deal to do the Teddy Channel's first live-action shows, the other project being Negative . The show, unlike the others aired on The CC, is rated TV-PG.
On January 15, 2016, an hour before the new episodes revealed, the creator confirmed on a video that Those Darned Toys! got renewed for a season 2 to air around 2016, and revealed that he worked as the cameraman. The video was taken off on January 16, 2015. Season 1 will air from January 13, 2016 to January 25, 2016. However, on January 24, 2015 it was taken off the schedule due to airing issues, and now has an unknown release date. Season 2 will air sometime in 2016. On January 20, 2016, it has been announced 12 episodes are to air for the 2nd season. The creator expressed interest in doing a season 3 if the second season has good ratings.
On February 3, 2016, the last 2 episodes were announced to premiere in late February. However, due to more scheduling conflicts, only 1 episode aired, "See You Later, Tail Gator" (the penultimate episode, which ended up being the last episode of season 1) and "The Love Turtle" (the ultimate episode, now to be part of season 2) will air along with season 2. Rumors have spread that the show will get cancelled without airing its second season due to these already-mentioned scheduling conflicts. The rumors became true when it was eventually announced that the show got cancelled and the 2nd season was eventually shelved.
The plot revolves around a unnamed kid who is bugged by alive toys while playing Minecraft (or other games, as it is show later on), all while a cameraman records it all.
