Thomas the Tank Engine: A Grand Day Out is an American-British-Australian adventure film, It's based on the Railway Series by Rev W. Awdry, "Thomas & Friends" and Eli Boy Productions' Thomas custom videos/posts. It was directed, produced, announced, screenplayed and made by Eli Kelly Bodhi Hall. It was released on July 27th, 2020. Plot

On March 25th, 2018 at 11:29 AM, Thomas finishes his work and he did a very good job. Sir Topham Hatt allows Thomas to have the rest of the day off and he said "I have so many engines". Thomas goes around the mainland and he goes home at 5:00 PM.

Production

Eli announced the short film on his Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CDI5wcbHgJu/) since he wanted to make an adaptation of his Thomas custom videos and posts. "Thomas the Tank Engine: The Big Adventure" sadly failed, but Eli thought of a short film.

Release

It was released on YouTube on July 27th, 2020. Trivia

  • Some of the soundtrack in the short was also part of "Thomas the Tank Engine: The Big Adventure".
  • The title, "A Grand Day Out" is a reference to the title of the "Wallace & Gromit" short of the same nane.
