The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is a 2012 American Horror Film Prequel to the Marcus Nispel 2003 Horror remake The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and sequel to the Jonathen Liebesman 2006 Prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

The film is written by Adam Marcus, Kirsten Helms, Debra Sullivan and Stephen Susco and directed by John Luessenhop.

The film stars Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Colton Haynes, Julianne Hough, Jessica Amlee, Titus Welliver, Lauren German, Janet McTeer, Charlie Rowe, Olivia Thirlby and R. Lee Ermey.

The film is produced by Michael Bay, Drew Fuller and Andrew Form who were responsibile for producing the previous Texas Chainsaw Massacre instalments and the film is the first of the three to be shot in Digital 3D.

The film was released theatrically on April 6th, 2012 and received mixed received by critics though was well received most and by audiences.


Heather Miller (Alexandra Daddario) loses both her parents in a terrible fire which she barely escapes which opens as the prologue of the film.

Following their death she is comforted by bestfriend Nicole "Nikki" Walters (Tania Raymonde).

Nikki accompanies Heather to meet with her parents attorney Daniel Miller (Shawn Schultz) who informs her parents had a vast fortune willed for her which resides in the abandoned Texas pass through town of Travis County.

Heather claims however that she does not possess a car and has no money which would be able to go to funding her to getting to Travis County to collect the fortune.

Attorney Miller advises that she contact someone who possesses a vehicle and would be willing to spend the time and money of getting her there so she can collect her fortune as no one can claim the money but her.

Nikki then tells Heather that desperate to get back into good graces ex-fiance Deputy Carl Hartman (Scott Eastwood) has the ol Travel Bus.

Nikki pleads on Heather to take up the deal and she does.

The two embrace in a large hug with a gasp which startles Attorney Miller who tells his business his done here before shaking their hands and departing.

We are then taken to the Carpenter family: Allan Carpenter (Titus Welliver), Maree Carpenter (Janet McTeer), 14 year old Billy Carpenter (Charlie Rowe), 17 year old Maria Carpenter (Olivia Thirlby), Janice Carpenter (Lauren German) and her 4 year old daughter Isabelle (Adele Gianopulos).

The Carpenter family are out of gas on the side of the road on Route 12 in Travis County waiting on someone to come through and stop to help.

Maria Carpenter is complaining whilest Janice is rocking her daughter Isabelle back and forth and Billy is throwing a baseball back and forth.

Mother Maree suggests the family take a family photo as they need a family vacation one of their newest addition Isabelle.

Maria detests and instead goes walking through a field excluding herself from the family photograph.

Whilest trecking through a side of the road paddock she comes across a dead dog which has had it's face skinned.

She is called over by Maree and Allan as a car is spotted coming their way.

The car full of College people simply beep at them and drive past wolf-whistling Maria.

We come back to Heather Miller who with bestfriend Nicole come to see Deputy Carl Hartman her ex-fiance who is with her ex-friend Jane Golding (Julianne Hough).

Heather asks wether he can transport her and Nicole down to Travis County, Texas to collect the inheritance left by her recently passed parents.

He agrees instantly and tells her he sent flowers and cards to her expressing his condolences and as did Jane.

Carl says he will take some time off duty to take her and Nikki down as long as Jane can tag along to and her younger sister Tess (Jessica Amlee).

Heather agrees after being suaded by Nicole and they ultimatley get two more final additions to tag along with them: Carl's friend duo Ryan Nolton (Trey Songz) and Daryl Marker (Colton Haynes) who will navigate them along Texas as the two originally hail from that state.

The road trip begins as the group set forth for Travis County.

We are then shown the Carpenter family with their four pet pigs: Herbert, Hamm, Lewis and Walter.

Walter ultimatley escapes his cage and runs off down a paddock and straight to Thomas Hewitt/Leatherface who brings down a meat clever upon the animal as the Heather Miller road trippers pass and after Heather takes eye of the animal's slaughter her calls for attention causes Carl to lose control and collide with the Carpenter's Bus.

They then band together and upon walking onward see a sign for a just ahead gas station.

Janice befriends Heather and is told why her and her friends are out in Travis County.

Allan ahead befriends Carl telling he once was bestfriends with a Sheriff from Colorodo, Mother Maree becomes acquianted with Nicole telling where they were off too and Maria begins conversation with Jane as Jane's younger sister Tess strays behind with Ryan and Daryl.

The group come to the gas station and meet Luda Mae who they tell of their car accident.

They ask wether she contact the police and a tow truck service.

She calls on her husband Monty to come two the damaged vehicles and a Sheriff Hoyt to come and check into the accident.

She tells that some will have to go along to the home of the sheriff's and make their report on the accident whilest the rest will have to return to the accident site and await the tow man.

Jane, Tess, Maree, Billy and Allan go back to the accident site while Heather, Nicole, Maria, Carl, Daryl, Ryan, Janice and 4 year old Isabelle press onto the Hewitt Residence.

There there appears to be nobody home and Heather forcefully enters though against Carl's wishes as it comes under breaking and entering.

The rest follow inside including Carl and look around.

They catch sound of a car coming down the drive-way and all come out apart from Allan.

Allan follows a trail of red drops upon the ground to a large steel sliding door which leads down to a dilepidated basement.

He enters and sees teeth, eyes and faces.

He freaks, yells and runs upstairs but the sliding closes.

A barbed wire is then lassoed at his feet and he is dragged into the Basement by Leatherface who grabs at his face and then decides it is not worthy prompting him to his chainsaw placed on a table.

Allan breaks free of his bindings whilest outside Heather, Carl and the others begin talking with the ominous Sheriff Hoyt who begins to ask to how their accident came about.

Allan rush limps upstairs pulls the steel doors open and pushes for the front door yelling and upon pushing outside before the group meets his end as the advancing Leatherface armed with running Chainsaws his chest.

The group scream and Sheriff Hoyt cocks his gun at them.

They are then forced inside Nicole bolts away.

Leatherface pursues and Luda Mae arrives home.

She tells Sheriff Hoyt to have them all tranquilized and that Uncle Monty is collecting the rest from Route 12.
