The Slenderman: The Returning

The Slenderman: The Returning or The Slenderman 2: The Returning is a 2017 Horror found footage film and a sequel to the 2016 horror film, The Slenderman. This film will star Kevin Connolly, Erin Marie Hogan, Stefanie Scott, Garret Ryan, Mason Cook, Bobby Campo, Aimee Teegarden, Trey Songz, Amber Stevens, Cody Longo, and Michael Bailey Smith.

Plot

A year after Slenderman's last killing, a nice family moves into a quiet cabin in the woods where they have enough land for their kids to play on, enough TV and phone service and cozy bedrooms to sleep in while during a snowy winter. The father of the family, Dan starts recording and documenting how it is to live in a cabin in the woods with his family. Soon the family realize that they are the neighbors of 5 party-going teenagers that they soon befriend. The family starts having a wonderful time in the cabin and feel like they have enough peace and quiet for them to relax but soon they are completely wrong. For the past few days they have been living in the cabin, Dan has been noticing a lot of odd stuff like hearing noises coming from the area they are in, finding half-eaten animals corpses and notices a blood splattered Still Missing flyer of 9 college students and a local police officer that were missing for a year in the same woods the family are in. Something isn't right, something is watching them and something doesn't want them in his woods.

Cast

Kevin Conolly as Daniel "Dan" Wilson - He is the husband of Kate Wilson and the father of Brittany and Zach Wilson. Dan is an adventortuous, loyal 44-year-old man that moves to a nice isolated log cabin in the woods with his wife and children during the snowy winter of 2017. When they moved to the cabin, they all felt relaxing and comforted. The cabin had a lot of open field for Dan's kids to play in, a lot of cozy bedrooms to sleep in, a huge kitchen to cook and refriderate meals in, and enough service for them to watch TV and use their phones. Dan feels like that him and his family are going to have a fun and relaxing time living in the cabin in the woods. The family realizes that they have close by neighbors who are 5 teenagers that live in a luxurious cottage in the woods and Dan feels like it would be good to have some company nearby. The family starts really having a fun time living in the cabin and feel relaxed and hoping that nothing bad will happen to them. Dan started recording and documenting how it feels to like to live in a cabin. During ten first few days when they were living in the cabin, Dan starts seeing and hearing strange things like hearing strange noises coming from the area they are in, finds half-eaten animals on the roads and in the woods, and finds a Still Missing flyer of 9 college students and a police officer that disapeared a year ago in the same woods Dan and his family are in and were never found and it was the same college students and police officer from the first film. Dan starts feeling like something isn't right, something is watching them and something wants him and his family gone. Dan goes into the woods at night to see what is causing all the strange things and he caught footage of a tall, thin man standing on a hill. He couldn't get a good shot of the man but he knows that the man wasn't human and that he's the reason that he's finding all those weird things. Who or what is watching him and his family. Before Dan moved to the cabin, he worked as a music teacher at a local school.

Erin Marie Hogan as Kate Wilson - She is the wife of Dan Wilson and the mother of Brittany and Zach Wilson. Kate is a motherly, adventorous woman that moves to a cozy isolated log cabin in the woods with her husband and children in the winter of 2017. When they moved to the cabin, Kate felt comforted, relaxed and when she saw the large kitchen in the cabin she felt like she could cook a lot of meals for her family. Before Kate moved to the cabin, she used to work as a chef at a gourmet restaraunt. Kate went to go look for a job in Pine Hills which is the closest town towards their cabin and she soon got a job as a hair stylist at a hair salon so she can make enough money to provide for her family. Kate and her family soon realize that they have neighbors close by their cabins which are 5 teenagers living in luxurious cottage in the woods and Kate feels like it would be good to have some nearby company. The family starts having a lot of fun and relaxation on in the cabin and feel like nothing bad would happen to them but they soon realize that they're wrong. The past few days they were living in the cabin Dan starts seeing strange things around the area they are in and he catches footage of a tall thin man standing on a hill and that's when Kate and her family realizes they are being watched.

Stefanie Scott as Brittany Wilson - She is the daughter of Kate and Dan Wilson and the older sister of Zach Wilson. Brittany is an athletic, good-hearted 17-year-old girl that moves into a nice quiet isolated cabin in the woods with her mother, father and little brother in the winter of 2017. When she moved into the cabin with her family, she didn't like it because her friends were all the way back in Indiana where her and her family used to live. Brittany would usually FaceTime, text or call her friends who were back in Indiana and would do nothing else. Brittany and her family notice that they have some close by neighbors which are 5 teenagers living in a luxorious cottage in the woods and Brittany develops a crush on one of the teenagers, Ryan who is the leader of the group. Soon the family start to have a fun and relaxing time in the cabin and feel like nothing bad would happen to them but they are completely wrong. Brittany's father, Dan starts noticing strange things around the area they are in and Dan catches footage of a tall thin man standing on top of a hill and that's when Brittany and her family start realizing that they are being watched.

Mason Cook as Zachary "Zach" Wilson - He is the son of Kate and Dan Wilson and the younger brother of Brittany Wilson. Zach is a quick, mischievous 14-year-old boy that moves to a nice and quiet isolated cabin in the woods with his mother, father and older sister in the winter of 2017. When he moved into the cabin in the woods with his family, he starts having fun by playing with his toy helicopters and remote control cars in a large field where he has enough space to play. Zach and his family realize that they have close by neighbors which are 5 teenagers living in a luxorious cottage in the woods and Zach thinks it would be good to have some company nearby. Soon the family start to have a fun and relaxing time living in the cabin and feel like nothing bad would happen to them but they are completely wrong. Zach's father, Dan starts noticing strange things around the area they are in and Dan catches footage of a tall thin man standing on a hill and that's when the family knows that they are being watched.

Bobby Campo as Ryan - He is leader of the group of teenagers that Dan and his family meet when they move into the cabin in the woods, the best friend of Jeremy and the boyfriend of Rachel. Ryan is an athletic, wealthy teen that is one of the richest students in his college and Chet lives on the rich side of Pine Hills with his family. Chet has several luxorious summer homes in the Bahamas, Hawaii, Beverly Hills and a cottage in the woods near Pine Hills. Ryan has an interest in playing sports with his friends like basketball and football but he also has an interest in partying, having fun and having sex with his girlfriend, Brenda. During the winter of 2017, Ryan takes all his friends to his luxorious cottage in the woods for a month of summer vacation. While staying in the cottage, Ryan and his friends notice that they have some new neighbors close by which is a family of 5 living in a cabin in the woods close by them and they think that it would be good to have some company close by. Ryan also carries a cowardly demeanor when it comes to fighting Slenderman.

Aimee Teegarden as Brenda - She is the girlfriend of Ryan, the best of friend of Kate and one of the teens that Dan and his family meet when they move into a cabin. She is a fun-spirited and up-going teen who loves to party more than anything. Brenda has sophistication, but often puts it to little use and instead uses her sexy body energy to get her way. She cares a lot for her friends and is always there to support when needed. Brenda is very fun and always seems to have many tricks up her sleeve. Despite her sweetness, Brenda is also very conceited and somehow always manages to make a serious situation all about herself. During the winter of 2017, he goes to her boyfriend's luxorious cottage in the woods near Pine Hills along with her friends where they notice that they have neighbors which is Dan and his family living in a nearby cabin in the woods and Brenda and her friends think it would be good to have some company close by. Soon during their stay in Ryan's cottage, Slendrman finds the cottage and starts killing the teens one by one.

Trey Songz as DJ Marcus - He is a close friend of Ryan, the boyfriend of Kate, one of the teens that Dan and his family meet when they move into the cabin and a senior striving to get a job in the music industry in order to become a rapper. DJ has listened to every Rap song imaginable since he was a child and has taken an interest in rapping as a way of expressing himself. He carries out his ambition by going to local rap clubs and showing off his talent, hoping to get scouted. DJ's all time idol is Kid Cudi because he can relate to how he always had a passion for music and put himself through the wringer to get where he is now. Despite schoolwork and responsibilities, DJ still finds the time to practice his rapping by entering talent shows and getting into contact with agents who specialize in the music department. He is very suave with the ladies and comes off as a superficial womanizer, but DJ is truly a warm-hearted soul who treats others with respect, is a loyal brother figure to Ryan and is always there for him when needed. During the winter of 2017, when him and his friends are going to Ryan's luxorious cottage in the woods near Pine Hills, they notice that they have neighbors which is Dan and his family living in a cabin in the woods and he thinks it would be good to have some company nearby. Soon during their stay in the cottage, Slenderman finds the cottage and starts killing the teens one by one.

Amber Stevens as Tracy - She is the best friend of Brenda, the boyfriend of DJ and one of the teens that Dan and his family meet when they move into the cabin. Kate is a party-going, upbeat teen that is a self-described tomboy who enjoys spending time with her guy friends and participating in guy-type activities. She is a smart, beautiful girl with a big heart who is willing to help those in need, but can also be bitchy at times. Tracy is very strong-minded and is has very good intelligence but she also likes likes to party, have fun and have sex with her boyfriend, DJ. During the winter of 2017, when her and her friends are going to Ryan's luxorious cottage in the woods near Pine Hills, they notice that they have neighbors which is Dan and his family living in a cabin in the woods and she thinks it would be good to have some company nearby. Soon during their stay in the cottage, Slenderman finds the cottage and starts killing the teens one by one.

Cody Longo as Jeremy - He is the best friend of Ryan and one of the teenagers that Dana and his family when they move into the cabin in the woods. He is a fun-spirited teen just like the rest of his friends whose only wish is to have a good time always and leave real-world tragedies and drama in the past and have fun, happiness and peace in the future. Jeremy gets his kicks off of joking around by any means necessary, whether it's politically correct or not. He doesn't mind living the single life, as long as he enjoys a close relationship with his friends and feels the freedom to display a raunchy sense of humor to whoever is around to listen. During the winter of 2017, when him and his friends are going to Ryan's luxorious cottage in the woods near Pine Hills, they notice that they have neighbors which is Dan and his family living in a cabin in the woods and he thinks it would be good to have some company nearby. Soon during their stay in the cottage, Slenderman finds the cottage and starts killing the teens one by one.

Michael Bailey Smith as The Slenderman - The Slenderman is an faceless evil entity that has lived for the past centuries and has been known to murdering and kidnapping children. The Slenderman is tall, thin and faceless with tentacles growing from it's back. He has pale white skin and wears a black suit. In a town in Ohio called Pine Hills there have been disappearances of toddlers, children, pre-teens, and teenagers in the woods for the past 10 years and people don't know why or who is causing. They think it is because of pedophiles and child predators. Children and teenagers have been disappearing in parks, playgrounds, their neighorhoods & homes, and at their school and people still don't know how it is happening. During a nice, quiet weekend in 2016, 7 college students think it is Slenderman and want to prove to everyone they think it is Slenderman. The 7 college students ally with 2 other college students that know a lot about Slenderman and want to help them prove that he is real. The college students later get killed and abducted by Slenderman and none of them were ever seen or hear from again. Slenderman has been watching and killing them and has been collecting several Have You Seen Me flyers of everybody he killed and kidnapped. A year after Slenderman's last bloody rampage in the winter of 2017, a family moves into a isolated, cozy cabin in the woods near Pine Hills. The family meets and befriends a group of 5 teenagers who live in a luxorious cottage in the woods close by them. During the first few days when the family stays in the cottage, the father, Dan starts noticing strange things around the area they are in like hearing loud mysterious noises in the night, half-eaten animals on the street and a Still Missing flyer of 9 college students and a local police officer that disapeared a year ago in the same woods Dan and his family live. One day while hiking in the woods with his camera, Dan catches footage of a tall, thin man which is Slenderman standing on a hill. That's when Dan and his family realized that they are being watched and somebody doesn't want them in the woods.

Deaths

DJ Marcus - Dismembered by Slenderman.

Jeremy - As Dan and his family noticed that the lights turned off, they heard loud knocking at the door which firghtened them. They could hear Ryan and his friends yelling "open the door" and felt less scared because it was just Ryan and his friends. Dan quickly opened the door and they all ran inside panicking and telling them to lock it quickly and Dan locked the door and asked them why. Jeremy explained in fear that DJ was killed by a man. Dan aimed his camera at Jeremy's sobbing face and asked him to explain what the man looked like. Jeremy said that he couldn't describe what the man looked like because the man was to quick and the man took DJ with him. The family and the teens starts hearing noises surronding the cabin and they know that someone is watching them. Dan quickly grabs a shot gun and bullets out of a cabinet and starts putting bullets in the gun trying to kill the person that is walking around the cabin with the loaded gun and his camera. Then suddenly DJ's dismembered corpse was thrown through a nearby window and landed on top of Dan frightening him and the others. Then Slenderman appeared at the broken window making everyone scream in fear. Dan pushd DJ's corpse off of him and started shooting Slenderman with his gun but it didn't slow him down. Slenderman then suddenly disapeared and Dan thought he killed him. Dan walked to the other room where his family and othe group of teenagers are and said that it was alright and that he killed them. Then all of a sudden, one of Slenderman's tentacles bursted through the walls which mad everyone screamed and they had no where to run. Then another tentacle bursted through the wall and brutally scrapped Jeremy's leg. Jeremy fell to the floor in pain and was screaming for help. Then more of Slenderman's tentacles bursted through the walls and one of them wrapped itself around of Jeremy's scrapped leg and started dragging him towards the wall. Dan and Kate tried to cut the tentacle off of Jeremy's leg but it was too strong. Then the tentacle yanked Jeremy closer to the wall and Jeremy started going through a huge hole one of the tentacles left in the wall. Another tentacle impaled Jeremy through the back and blood started oozing from Jeremy's nose and mouth. Jeremy told the others to run and Jeremy was completely pulled into the hole in the wall and then Slenderman killed Jeremy off-screen. Later Dan and his family saw Jeremy's bloody upper body hanging from a tree with rope stock around his neck.

Tracy - As Tracy was running in the snowy woods along with Dan, Brittany, Zach, Kate and her friends, Tracy noticed a flyer hanging on a tree. The flyer was a Still Missing poster of 9 college students and a police officer that disapeared a year ago in the same woods they are in and were never found. Ryan said to Tracy to show him the flyer and once he saw it he read about how they've gone missing and where they were last seen. Ryan started getting scared because where they disapeared is in the same woods they are in and Ryan thinks the reason they disappears is because of Slenderman. While Ryan was still talkin, Dan interrupted by saying they should start moving again because he heard something coming from the bushes. They all resumed running and ran as fast as they could. Brenda them tripped on something which was a trapdoor buried in the snow. The group all gathered around the trapdoor and opened it. They climbed down the trapdoor one by one trying to see where the trapdoor leads to. As Dan was the last one to go down the ladder to the trapdoor, they all soon realize that the trapdoor leads to a secret old abandon mine. They all start walking around the mines to find clues and evidence on what is going and who killed DJ and Jeremy. Soon they all find a bunch of Have You Seen Me posters of children, toddlers and teenagers hanging on the walls of the mine. As they go deeper in the woods they notice something frightening. They find the rotting and decomposing corpses of all the people that disapeared in Pine Hills. Thi started scaring them and the corpses made them scream and fear and then they ran deeper in the mines trying to find a way out. Dan then finds a huge hole in the wall which is actually a cave that leads somewhere and Dan thinks it might lead them a way out the mines. Dan through the hole first and the others started crawling in the hole one by one so nobody could get hurt. Then Tracy was the last one to crawl through the hole. Dan told her to grab his hand and she did. As Tracy was about to make it through the hole, One of Slenderman's tentacles went through Tracy's sweater and impaled her through the stomach making blood drip from her stomach and blood splattered over Dan's camera screen. They all started screaming in fear as they watched Tracy slowly dying. Then Slenderman through Tracy's body to the ground and the other started crawling through the caves trying to find away out and to avoid to get killed by Slenderman.

Ryan - When Ryan, Brenda, Dan, Brittany, Zach and Diane were running through the woods hoping to find help, they found Ryan's cottage and Ryan had an idea to call the police to get help. As they walked into the cottage, Ryan dialed the police and they answered his call. Ryan was explaining how that someone is after them and trying to kill them. When Ryan was still on the phone with police, the phone line mysteriously cut off and all the power went out which frightened everybody. They all then heard glass breaking coming from upstairs and Ryan went to go see what it was and told everyone else to stay down here. He grabbed a knife out of the kitchen and slowly made his way up the stairs and walked into the room where he heard the glass break. A minute later, Dan and the others heard loud destruction and pandemonium coming from upstairs. They all slowly made their way up the stairs to see if Ryan was alright. Dan then heard noises coming from Ryan's bedroom and slowly opened the door. Once he opened the door, Slenderman through Ryan's gutted corpse at Dan with a knife stabbed in Ryan's chest.

Brenda - After looking at Ryan's corpse, Dan, Diane, Brenda, Brittany, and Zach run out of cottage and had to Dan and his family's cabin where the hid in the basement and Dan was holding a loaded shot gun. They all look around the basement to look for more things to defend themeselves against Slenderman and Dan found a bloody dusty leather jacket and then finds a human leg and he calls the others to come see and they all walked up to the human leg and they found a trail of blood which lead to the corpses of the college students and the police officer that disapeared a year ago sewened to the wall and this freaked them out. As they backed up, Brenda back up into a window and then Slenderman's arm came through through the window and grabbed Brenda's neck tight, pulled her out of the basement and killed her off-screen. Later when Dan and his family ran out of the cabin, they found Brenda's corpse laying in the snowy ground with her jaw ripped off.

The Slenderman - After Brenda was pulled out of the basement and killed by Slenderman, Slenderman went through the broken window hoping to kill Dan and his family next. Dan, Kate, Zach and Brittany ran out of the house screaming and ran back out of the house hoping to outrun and avoid getting killed by Slenderman. While running Dan trips on Brenda's bloody corpse laying in the snow and he was so scared knowing that him and his family are next. Then Dan had an idea that they could use tools and weapons in the shed to fight back against Slenderman. They all grabbed as much tools and weapons they could find and they we're ready to fight Slenderman. Slenderman ran up to Dan and tackled him to the floor and tried to kill him but Dan fought back. Slenderman then dragged Dan through the snow with one of his tentacles and Dan dropped his camera in the snow while Slenderman tried to drag him in the woods and kill him. Kate went chasing Slenderman with a chain and then wrapped a chain around Slenderman's neck as tight as she could and then she noticed the wood chipper her family has. Kate ran to and turned on the wood chipper and out the other end of the chain in the wood chipper which dragged Slenderman in the snow closer to the wood chipper. Dan then grabbed an axe out of a tree stump and Kate grabbed the video camera out of the snow. Dan the. stood over Slenderman holding the axe and then stabbed Slenderman seven times in the chest weakening Slenderman's powers. Slenderman then made it close to the wood chipper and started slowly going inside the woodchipper. When Slenderman was fully in the woodchipper, black oozy stuff started coming out of the wood chipper as it was slowly killing and chopping Slenderman. Then suddenly the chain jammed the woodchipper and they all knew something wasn't right. They all ran far from the woodchipper and layed in the snow and then when the chains were still jamming the wood chipper, the wood chipper caught on fire exploded in the chunks finally killing Slenderman and ending his reign of terror while Dan and his family watched and sobbed in joy as they watched Slenderman die. The next morning, Dan, Kate, Zach and Brittany woke up after falling asleep on the couch in their cabin when they looked out a window and saw police and paramedics surround the area they are in.
