Reception

The series was universally panned for its allegements that it was nothing more than a "half-hour tasteless and thoughtless, not to mention souless, commercial on diabetes-strickening fast food". Emma Lowry of Variety said, "No love was put in this show, only advertising and McDonald's food. This show should have been thrown in the McDonald's trash bin and never remembered". On Rotten Tomatoes, the Tomatometer for the show is a 10% percent, with an average rating of 2.1/10 and only 6 "Fresh" reviews compared to 20 "Rotten" reviews. The audience score was a 28%. The Critics Consensus reads, "A show based on a fast food chain should not exist at all, but sadly this show proves all of that wrong with it being a 30-minute commercial and nothing else. Overall, the viewing experience may leave a bad taste on your mouth." Even with all of these mostly negative reviews, the show was surprisingly popular and was one of the highest-rated programs, having an average of 5M viewers per episode. It was also one of the most popular shows at the time for The CC (Cartoon Comedy), along with Bobby Gibby's.
