The New Goosebumps is an American anthology comedy-horror live-action TV series that's a reboot of the original 1995 Goosebumps TV series, which in itself was based on the book series Goosebumps by Robert Lawrence "R.L." Stine. The reboot is created by the original book writer and TV show creator himself R.L. Stine, along with his wife Jane Stine. The show is the first "television event" for The CC (Cartoon Comedy), due to its ensemble cast and expensive budget.
The show's remaining episodes for the first season have announced air dates which were first announced at its New York Comic-Con panel, while a trailer for the second season confirmed a March 2018 release date.
Plot
The show will be an anthology about kids being forced into supernatural situations. The plot is to be similar to the TV show it's rebooting.

- The New Goosebumps will be the second show that both Natalie Alyn Lind and Sean Giambrone appear in, after The Goldbergs.
- The show will be rated TV-PG-V.
- Budget for the show will be around $1M, making it the most expensive show originally made for The CC (Cartoon Comedy). However, it was only for the first episode ("Song of the Mermaid"), and the rest of the show now has a budget of $10,000.
- Unlike the original show it's rebooting, The New Goosebumps will create its own monsters for each episode.
- 52 episodes have been planned for the show throughout two seasons.
Reception
Rotten Tomatoes has reported that 55% of the reviews were positive. One critic from Variety wrote, "Though the show can be simplified at times, it's understandable as it tries to savor 90s nostalgia." Overall, some critics have called it a really good reboot.
