The Invisible Man is an in-development monster horror film, a remake of the 1933 film The Invisible Man. It will be the second film in the Universal Horror Revival series of remakes, following 2011's Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Guillermo del Toro, who helped produce the remake of Creature, is directing the film, with a script written by Monty Python alum Terry Gilliam. Leonard Di Caprio, Johnny Depp and David Tennant were all rumoured to be playing the lead role, though Tennant denied the rumour. Emily Blunt is rumoured to be in talks to play Flora Cranley, Christopher Lee as Dr. Arthur Kemp and Tony Curran as "Rodger Forsythe". The film is currently in development.

In December 2009 Guillermo del Toro was contracted by Universal Studios to oversee the production of several remakes of the studios' classic films. del Toro signed on to direct the remakes of both The Invisible Man and Dracula, while he would produce and co-write the other titles.

Following the end of filming for Creature from the Black Lagoon in mid-2011, del Toro began work on the remake of the Invisible Man. He co-write the script with Monty Python alum Terry Gilliam.
