The Goonies 2: Never Say Die

The Goonies 2: Never Say Die is a 2013 American adventure comedy directed by Richard Donner and written by J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon.

The film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Chris Columbus and Mark Radcliffe.

The film takes place 28 years after the first film with Mikey Walsh and his friends going on another adventure along with their teenage offspring but the Fratelli brothers Jake and Francis have escaped from prison again and not close behind.

The film reunites Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton, Jonathan Ke Quan, Jeff Cohen and Josh Brolin for their respective roles of Mikey Walsh, Mouth, Andi, Stef, Data, Chunk and Brand with Alexandra Daddario, Daryl Sabara, Doug Brochu, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Shannon Kook and Dylan Minnette playing their teenaged children.

The film was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and was released on June 7th, 2013 to really positive reviews from critics and audiences for it's nostalgia, musical score and the performances. The film was also a box office smash, grossing $295 million worldwide.
