Trivia

  • Starting in series 4 (2003-2005), the series's content became too unsuitable for kids, so they moved the series to Cartoon Network's late night programming block, Adult Swim. Because of this, episodes started being rated either TV-14 or TV-MA. This also sparked up controversy due to nudity (both sexual and non-sexual) but was censored accordingly.
  • Archival recordings were used for Amos Slade in the first 7 episodes. This was because Jack Albertson was still alive at the time the episodes were being made (the episodes of series 1 started being made between August 13-October 30, 1981, and Albertson didn't pass away until November 25 of the same year, two years before this series premiered on TV).
    • The same practice was done for Big Mama when episodes for series 3 came out because the episodes were recorded between May 27-June 13, 1989.
    • In 1997 and 1998, the same thing was done for Widow Tweed, although two episodes where she was still voiced by Jeanette Nolan were aired after she passed away (twice) (June 13, 1998, a week after she passed away, and January 27, 2020, 21 years after she passed away, which remained lost for 21 years due to the producers' stupidity)
  • Although Jeff Bennett, Jenifer Lewis, and Rob Paulsen are still alive, Amos Slade, Big Mama, and Chief all started being voiced by David Graham, Judy Flynn, and David Rintoul, respectively, just because. During that time, Sarah Ann Kennedy joined the voice cast in series 18 (2018-2019) because of Russi Taylor's death.
  • The series is a bit more darker than the film and it was also the first series of the Disney Channel to get a TV-PG rating.
