The Fampsons : Legend of the Golden Lion is a 2021 British/American live-action/animated crossover comedy adventure musical film produced by 20th Century Studios, Warner Bros. Pictures and directed by Aaron Blaise. The film stars Will Smith, Gary Oldman, Alessia Cara, Allias Salmon and Robert Downey Jr. In Legend of the Golden Lion, The Simpsons, Griffins and the other characters must travel to find the Golden Lion, a statue of a lion which causes the characters to come to life, before the magic disappears. The film premiered on July 2, 2021, at New York City's Ziegfeld Theater and was released in the United States and United Kingdom on July 29, 2021. The Fampsons : Legend of the Golden Lion grossed over $363 million at the box office and had some positive reviews where critics praised the plot, score, songs and animation. This film was dedicated to the memory of Leonard Nimoy, who died in 2015 before the film's release.
The film served as the series finale for The Simpsons 2.0, Family Guy 2.0 and Prehistoric America 2.0.
