The Creepy Door

'The Creepy Door is a 2013 horror film. Starring Alexandra Daddario, Xavier Samuel, Josh Hutcherson, Hayden Panettiere, Drew Roy and Derek Mears.

Summary

A man was murdered in 1812 and was sentenced to death and was hanged but a witch cast a spell on him that could make him come back if someone opens the door then he could kill them.

Now, 5 friends decide to go to a cabin in the woods and open the creepy door in the basement and let Connor (Derek Mears) out and he is back to kill them.

Plot

Connor (Derek Mears) is a poor man who wants to rule the kingdom and kill King Andrew and talks back to King Andrew (Henry Cavill) for knockng his stuff and King Andrew sentences him to death and his men then try to take Connor away but he escapes and runs and they chase after them.

Connor then hides from them in a house and a witch (Lin Shaye) then says that he is not allowed in her house and he says that he escaped from King Andrew and that he is sentenced to death and escapes and the witch then casts a spell on him and she tells him he should come back to life when he dies and he runs out of the house. They then catch him and King Andrew tells them to hang him and they do.

They tie a noose around his neck and hang him to a tree and they leave. Moments later Connor comes back to life and puts spikes in his wrists and goes to kill King Andrew. King Andrew is sleeping and wakes up from hearing his men's screams and opens the door to find them dead and goes back to his room. Connor comes in and King Andrew and him fight. King Andrew then tells him that he should be dead and Connor says that he never dies and slits King Andrew's throat with his spikes and leaves. He then moves to Pennsylvania and builds a cabin in the woods for himself and builts a mysterous, creepy door where he sleeps in and puts his victims in there.

In present day, five friends include: Ashley (Alexandra Daddario), Greg (Xavier Samuel) Ashley's boyfriend, Jason (Drew Roy) Greg's best friend, Jennifer (Hayden Panettiere) Ashley's best friend and Jason's girlfriend and Leo (Josh Hutcherson) Greg's second best friend go to the cabin for the summer and celebrate their last year of high school. Ashley, Greg, Jason and Leo are drinking beer and they hear Jennifer scream and rush to see what's wrong and she says there's a spider and they start laughing at her and she gets angry.

At night, they eat dinner and Ashley asks where Jennifer is and Jason says that she's in the room because she's still mad at them for laughing and she goes to Jennifer and Jason's room. Ashley asks if she's okay and Jennifer says no because they made fun of her fear of spiders and Ashley says that they're just messing with her and Jennifer says that it's not funny and says that she wish she was Ashley cause she's not scared of anything and Ashley hugs her and smiles and they go to eat.

After they finish eating dinner Jason tells them that he found a really cool door and they go to see. They then open it and they go in. Ashley tells them that she heard something about a witch casting a spell on a man that would make him live everytime he died and he build a cabin and he had this creepy door that he slept in and worked in there and that he put all his victims bodies in there and they all start laughing. They then leave and go back to party. Leo, who is drunk goes to walk around the woods while playing his PSP and sees someone and goes closer then he sees spikes in his wrists and runs with Connor chasing after him. Connor then catches up to him and stabs him in the neck and back and he dies.

Ashley asks where Leo is and Greg says he went outside then Jason says make sure there's no killer outside and gives him the finger and leaves. Ashley then calls Leo and finds blood trail on the ground and finds Leo dead and screams. She then sees Connor and runs back to the cabin. She opens the door and locks it and they ask what happened and she says that someone killed Leo and they all get scared and Jennifer starts crying. Someone knocks on the door and Greg goes to open it and Ashley tells him not to open it and he does. Connor looks up at him and stabs him in the face and they all scream and run out the cabin.

Ashley then separates from Jennifer and Jason and she is cornered by Connor and he then comes closer and she runs deep into the woods and a hand grabs her and it's Jason and Jennifer. Jason tells her to shut the hell up and she tells him to not tell her what to do and he tells her she doesn't have to be such a bitch to him and she says she wouldn't be a bitch to him if he wasn't a dick to her and Jennifer says to them, while crying, to stop arguing and that they're constantly arguing no matter what and Ashley says she's right and that they have to stick together if they're going to get out of here and they go back to the cabin to look for the keys and Jason tells them to wait out here in case he comes back and he goes inside. He comes back out with the keys and they run to the car and he starts it and they drive away.

They reach the road and see Connor on the road and Jason then runs into him and he presumably dies. Connor gets up and Jason says that he's not dying and runs over him again and backs up and runs over him again and continues until he stops. Connor then stops moving and gets up and Jason then tries to run him down again but Connor moves out the way and they crash into a tree. They get out the car and Connor comes towards them and they run back into the woods in different directions and are separated. Ashley then runs back into the cabin and Connor cuts off the lights and she grabs a flashlight to find where he is and doesn't find him. She then hears breathing and we see Connor behind him and she then turns around fast and hits him with the flashlight and runs out the house with the flashlight.

Ashley then finds Jason and asks him where Jennifer is and he says he lost her and she tells him why didn't he go after her and he tells her all three of them took different directions and she gets mad at him and tells him we have to go find her and they do. Jennifer is then running away deep into the woods hoping to find help and runs into Connor and stabs her right foot with a machete, she then says fuck you and he slashes her throat with the machete and then decapitates her. Ashley and Jason walk in on this and Ashley starts crying and she hits him across the face with the flashlight and Jason beats him with a tree branch, they run.

Ashley then says that they need a weapon and Jason says all he has is tools and Ashley says they would work too and he grabs his tool box and they put up a tent to sleep in. Jason then says that he's sorry for being an ass all the time and she says it's okay and that they will survive together and she goes to sleep. Jason then gets out the tent and goes to the woods with a flashlight and a wrench to take a piss. Connor then comes behind him.

It then skips to Ashley waking up, she notices Jason missing and gets out the tent to find her. While looking for Jason she calls for his name and he falls from a tree all bloodied and dead and she starts screaming and crying and goes back into the tent to hide. Connor then tears it apart and she starts to scream and she runs when he opens it all the way, he then grabs her and she kicks him in his balls and runs into the woods with a screwdriver. Connor looks for her and she comes out and stabs him in his chest and runs. She then trips on a log and is knocked unconscious and Connor grabs her and takes her back to the cabin.

Ashley then wakes up and finds her friends all hanged up and she starts screaming. Ashley then hears Connor come back down and he tells her that she's really tough and she says now you speak and he laughs and she says to him that she was raised that way and he tells her that his name is Connor and he asks her what her name is and she says I'm the one who's gonna kill you and he starts laughing and he says you're pretty but it's a shame he has to kill her and she says not if I kill you first and he goes back upstairs and she sees a window and escapes out the window. He then comes back downstairs and sees her gone and goes to find her. He then runs into the woods to look for her and she hits him with a wrench and starts beating him with it, she then grabs a screwdriver and stabs him in his left eye with the screwdriver and he presumably dies and she gets up drops the screwdriver and wrench and walks away and she makes it to the road and walks onto the road.

We then see Connor on the floor dead and he then gets up and his left eye then heals and he walks back to the cabin and smiles.

Cast

Alexandra Daddario as Ashley- The main protagonist and Greg's girlfriend. She is more like a tomboy and is a brave girl. She hangs out with Jennifer but mostly hangs out with the guys. She watches alot of horror movies and isn't scared of anything. She tells the others about the creepy door which is about Connor.

Xavier Samuel as Greg- Ashley's boyfriend. He is the first person to die and he always looks out for her.

Josh Hutcherson as Leonardo "Leo" Vanripdikstein- Greg's second best friend. He is sorta a video game nerd and always plays video games.

Hayden Panettiere as Jennifer- Ashley's best friend and Jason's girlfriend. She is afraid of spiders and is a drama queen.

Drew Roy as Jason- Greg's best friend. Ashley hates him but when they're the only two left, they both look out for each other.

Derek Mears as Connor/The Assassin- He is the main antagonist. He had a spell put on him to survive his death. He killed the king and his men and moved to Pennsylvania and build a cabin for himself and sleeps in a creepy door and whoever opens it he comes back to life to kill them.

Lin Shaye as Witch- She is the lady that cast a spell on Connor.

Henry Cavill as King Andrew- He is the king and is the first victim of Connor including his men.

Jason- Walks into the woods to piss and the killer comes behind him. Falls from a tree onto the ground in front of Ashley, it is unknown how he died.

Deleted Scenes and Alternate Endings

1. Alternate Ending: Ashley beats Connor with a wrench and stabbed him in his left eye with a screwdriver. As she is about to leave Connor gets up and stabs her in her heart and she dies and he drags her body back to the cabin.

2. Jennifer's Death: Jennifer is separated from the killer, he then comes behind her and she sees him and runs. She hides in a shack and she backs away from the door into the window, he bursts through the window and grabs her but she escapes him and he grabs a machete and stabs her in her head and leaves.

3. 2nd Alternate Ending: Ashley and Jason are running from Connor but are cornered by him and he stabs Jason in his stomach and Jason dies. Ashley then runs from Connor and he grabs her and is about to kill her but Jason stabs him in the back of his head with a machete and walks away with Ashley.
