The Ceremony, Or Ceremony, Tribal Ceremony, And The Great Ceremony Is A Composition By Polish Composer Krzysztof Penderecki. It Premiered In March Of 1991.
Composition And Background
The Set Up For The Ceremony Was Similar To A Requieum Mass, With A Very Large Number Of Choir Members With Various Ages From 30 To 56, The Maximum Number Of Choir Members Is A Whoping 300. There Where Also Various Tribal Instruments.
The Work Lasts For 1 Hour And 3 Minutes, But Is One Movement. It Starts Out With Drums Beating, Then, The Beating Is Quiet And A Low-Pitch Choir Ensues, Possibly Like A Tribe Worshipping A God. Then, The Choir And Tribal Music Intensities. Then, We Just Hear Drums Beating, Then The Choir, Out Of Nowhere, Chants And Some Whistles Are Heard. Then We Just Hear The Tribal Music. The Movement Ends With The Choir In Low-Pitch.

The Work Was First Performed In March 6, 1991. Some Of The People Involved In The Premiere Where "Horrified" Of The Track. A Second Recording Was Released In 2006 And Another Recording Was Released In 2013.
In Popular Culture
While Not Achieving Lots Of Fame, The Ceremony Was Used In Various Films. The Beginning Of The Ceremony Was Used In The 2020 Film Adaptation Of Dune.
