The CC's New Year's Tribute Special are a series of New Year specials that begin airing annually on The CC (Cartoon Comedy) on December 31, 2016 on New Year's Eve. It aired its first special that day at 9PM, and ended at 12 AM on January 1, 2017. On January 2017, it was announced a special titled The CC's 2017 New Year's Tribute Special, which will be about the deaths and events that have happened in 2017, would air on December 31, 2017. The 2017 special has been renamed 2017: The Deaths and the Events. A 2018 special that'll focus on the deaths and events that'll happen in 2018 has been set for a December 31, 2018 date.
On June 10, 2018, it was announced that the 2018 special would be the last special to air.
Plot
The tribute special is, as it suggests, a tribute to 50 fallen celebrities of that year. Each of them is talked about for at least 1 or 10 minutes, and are given their mini tribute. Also, the special talks about 50 things that happened in that same year.
Viewership
The 2016 special garnered 5.0 million viewers.
The 2017 special garnered 7.8 million viewers, higher than the 2016 special.
