Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Deluxe (known as 鉄拳タグトーナメントゴールド (Tekken Tag Tournament Gold) in Japan) is a fighting video game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It is an updated version of the original Tekken Tag Tournament 2. This fighting video game has been released on September 27, 2019.

Gameplay

As in the original Tekken Tag Tournament, matches involve each player selecting two fighters to fight with. Players are able to switch their fighters out at any time, allowing the inactivating character to gradually recover some life they might have lost. At certain points, an inactive character's life bar may flash, giving them a temporary boost in strength if they are tagged in. If the life bar of either of a player's fighters runs out, that player loses the round. If time runs out, the player who has the most cumulative life remaining amongst their fighters wins the round.

Differences from Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Most characters keep their own costumes from Tekken 7. Their other costumes can be unlocked by clearing Arcade Mode and Ghost Battle. While in the character select screen, many other characters' full names are heard (e.g. Alisa Bosconovitch, Lars Alexandersson, Leo Kliesen, Miguel Caballero Rojo, Sergei Dragunov and True Ogre). In multiplayer fights when either player wins, the announcer will say "Red Team wins" for Player One or "Blue Team wins" for Player Two instead of "You win". When winning as a solo character, the announcer will say the character's name. Rage Arts are now included during gameplay. From Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, Tekken: Blood Vengeance costumes for Kazuya, Devil Jin, Xiaoyu and Alisa are now included in this game. Exclusive Nintendo Costumes (such as the ones from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox and F-Zero) for the Nintendo Switch version can now be unlocked by using the correct amiibo figures to unlock exclusive costumes.
