Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Into The Fray is a 2018 American superhero film based on the fictional superhero team: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It is the seventh film in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series, the third in the Platinum Dunes-Nickelodeon franchise and a sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of Shadows (2016).

Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Laura Linney, Stephen Amell, Brian Tee, Brittany Ishibashi and Tyler Perry reprise their respective roles as well the voice actors: Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Tony Shalhoub, Sheamus, Brad Garrett and Gary Anthony Williams.

New cast additions include Jane Levy, Richard Madden, Betty Gilpin, Thomas McDonell and Antonia Thomas.

Plot[]

Fugitive Dr. Baxter Stockman raids his old laboratory Mutex in Osaka, Japan with the help of footclan leaders Tatsu and Shredder's daughter Karai. Yakuza Boss Attawan and his men angered by a previous betrayal by Stockman during his collaboration with them attack. Ninja turtles Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo raid the building. April O'Neil and her now partner Casey Jones provide the getaway transport, Karai betrays Tatsu and has him apprehended along with Attawan and his men. Stockman and Karai escape as Stockman acquires the remaining mutagen from the facility.

Raphael's impulsive antics in Osaka result in a falling out with the others, prompted by Leo. He is joined by Casey as he moves out and begins night vigilante missions as the Nightwatcher, operating out of the New York subways. In his attire with Casey they contend with released convict Hunter Mason, who was responsible for burning down Casey's autoshop resulting in the death of his older brother.

Raphael and Casey at Hunter's junkyard defeat the hulking crime lord, with Casey severely beating into him, stopped by Raphael. Back at the Turtle's sewer home Donatello constructs a fifth turtle, yellow covered robot entitled Metalhead, though he malfunctions on skirmish with the footclan and Karai at Shredder's old Jade Palace. Stockman undergoes a transformation with the Mutagen when facing arrest, as Karai helps the turtles escape in return for her not being apprehended as the police arrive. Raphael arrives to rejoin with the others and sees Metalhead prompting him to leave with Casey. April is poisoned by Stockman's mutagen gas and as a result begins to disintegrate.

Stockman takes Eric Sacks' remaining animal test subjects and exposes them to Mutagen, four store frogs, former colleague Dr. Victor Falco (who becomes a colossal rat humanoid) and Falco's bodyguard Roscoe Tavas becoming the humanoid shark Armaggon. They approach the remaining footclan as they help Karai modify the technology to make contact with alien Krang, to reclaim her father. The footclan along with a released Tatsu align with Stockman and his followers, who attempt to murder Karai, the Punk Frogs protecting her and then escaping.

NY nurse Niara Owens a former associate of Stockman's offers her assistance to the heroes, taking April back to her apartment to begin the treatment of an antidote. Raphael as the Nightwatcher with Casey try to take on Stockman who they track to Owens' apartment, culminating in a destructive battle. Donatello and Mike are abducted by Stockman, Raphael does battle with Leonardo on the rooftop until he unmasked and subdued by a repaired Metalhead.

In the woods a heavily wounded Karai makes a portal and brings through Krang offering him Stockman in return for her father's release. The Punk frogs are defeated by Shredder and retreat to the sewers coming across the turtles. All parties travel to Romania as Stockman's adoptive family, that he had murdered as an adolescent possess a Castle estate, where he utilise the Mylark machine to spread Mutagen gas around the world. April is successfully healed by Niara and with Casey they join the Turtles and Frogs at the Castle.

The Turtles, Frogs and Casey destroy the Mylark, Stockman dies as he jumps into the energy desperately. The Rat King Falco does battle with Shredder and Karai, as Krang absorbs the Mylark debris and becomes Krang Prime. He is brought down by Shredder, the Turtles and Frogs. After Prime and Falco's defeat Shredder turns his attention towards the Turtles and is stopped by Karai. April and Niara trick Armaggon into a castle trapdoor.

The Mylark's destruction causes the Castle to collapse, The Turtles, Frogs, April, Niara and Casey escape with Vern Fenwick as the getaway driver. Armaggon escapes through the water he landed in leading out to the ocean. Tatsu and the footclan present are caught in the collapse. Niara back in New York helps reset the turtle home and offers her old base with Stockman as a crash pad. In the woods Karai's portal opens again releasing the alien Lord Dregg.
