The Nut Job 3 is a 2021 computer animated adventure comedy film that is a sequel to the 2017 film, The Nut Job 2. Surly is much more nicer and more humorous then in the first film. The film stars Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl, Robert Tinkler, Brendan Fraser, Joe Pingue, Stephen Lang, Jeff Dunham, Maya Rudolph, Scott Yaphe, Annick Obansawin, Jackie Chan, Bill Paxton, and Sarah Gadon.
Plot[]
After a year of defeating Raccoon, Surly and Buddy return to the park because Surly secretly has a romantic attraction towards Andie and grew a huge obsession with her. So him and Buddy goes back to the park and asks Andie to marry him and she agrees to it. During weeks after their marriage Andie becomes pregnant with 4 baby squirrels and they are very happy to become a mother and father and Buddy will become an uncle. When a cold and snowy winter hits, Surly finds a lonely chipmunk named Shaley crying on the streets looking for a home and Surly decides to take her into their home which makes Shaley fall in love with Surly and really hates Andie because she is Surly's wife. Shaley's sweet side is no more and wants Andie and Buddy gone so Shaley can date Surley.....MAYBE???. They are also in a real pickle when the mayor of Oakton wants to chop down the tree they live in to

Will Arnett as the voice of Surly - He is the main protagonist who is a purple squirrel that was former nut theif and and con artist but he redmeeded himself. Now he is more nicer and more loyal then he was in the first film. When Surly misses Andie, he goes back to the park to ask Andie to marry him and become his wife and he succeeds. He is very tough, protective, lovestruck, and sometimes arrogant. 8 months after their marriage, Andie is pregnant with 4 baby squirrels and Surly think's he will be a great father towards his children. A snowy winter hits and he wants to help them find food to last them during the winter at a small grocery store called Stop N' Shop. Surly meets a small chipmunk named Shaley who he befriends and takes her into their home in the tree and Shaley falls in love with Surly but when she finds out that he is married, She goes from sweet and loving from vicious, wicked, abusive, arrogant, and greedy maniac. Surly thinks she is a sweet chipmunk but Andie and Buddy try and tell him who she truly him.
Katherine Heigl as the voice of Andie - She is the main heroine/deuteragonist who is an orange squirrel that is the wife of Surly that is pregnant with 4 baby squirrels and she think's she is prepared to be a mother. When Andie meets Shaley, Shaley pretends to be friends with Andie but truly hates and despises her along with Buddy. Andie tries and helps the animals but due to her pregnancy, she has hard time running.
Robert Tinkler as the voice of Buddy - He is the tritagonist who is a silent rat that is the best friend, partner and second-in-command of Surly. He has a very big heart and when he is happy, he has a huge smile on his face and he has a very nice personality. Buddy think's that Shaley is a sweet loving chipmunk but later finds out that she is completely vicious and love obsessed animal. Buddy would be a great uncle to Surly and Andie's children because he has a fun-loving personality and he loves playing and having fun.
Brendan Fraser as the voice of Grayson - He is a close friend of Andie and a slightly arrogant and good hearted gray squirrel that is craving to go out with Andie but Andie keeps on telling him that she is in love with Surly. Grayson describes himself as the "park hero" and all the popularity from the animals has gone to his head making him arrogant. He also sees Surly as a brother figure of his own since they are very good friends and sometimes Surly and Grayson don't get along for a few reasons like he gets jealous when Surly is around Andie. He would be one of the uncles of Surly and Andie's kids.
Joe Pingue as the voice of Johnny - He is a mischievous groundhog that is in a gang with his siblings called The Bruisers. He is very tough and strong and he loves rough housing and playing pranks with his brothers but his sister doesn't like his reckless personality. He is one of the animals that is inspired and adores Grayson because they call Grayson the "park hero" but he also sees Surly as a good friendly rival. He helps Surly find food before the snowstorm gets worse.
Gabriel Iglesias as the voice of Jimmy - He is a mischievous groundhog that is in a gang with his siblings called The Bruisers. He is very tough and strong and loves rough housing and playing pranks with his brothers but his sister doesn't like his reckless personality. He is one of the animals that is inspired and adores Grayson because they call Grayson the "park hero" but he also sees Surly as a good friendly rival. He helps Surly find food before the snowstorm gets worse.
Maya Rudoplh as the voice of Precious - She is a talking pug and a close friend of Surly and Buddy who is owned by a young, beautiful woman named Lana. Precious used to be owned by a group of brank robbers but was owned by Lana after they were arrested from the first film. Whenever Lana takes her for a walk in the park, she will hang out with Surly, Buddy, Andie, and the other animals in the park. She acts like what a normal dog and she also is very friendly and fun spirited.
Annick Obonsawin as the voice of Jamie - She is a fun loving, polite and serious groundhog that is in a gang with her siblings called the bruisers. She is very strong and takes nearly everything she does seriously and hates it when her brothers do reckless and idiotic things like rough housing, playing pranks or fart and she is the most smarter and mature member in The Bruiser's gang.
Bobby Moynihan as the voice of Mayor Andrews - He is the hidden main antagonist who is the arrogant, power hungry, self centered, and greedy mayor of Oakton that wants to chop down the tree that Surly, Buddy, Andie and the other animals live in and put up a statue of him due to his rude personality. He will do anything for himself and gets everything he wants for the taking making a spoiled rich snob. Surly along with the other animals wants to stop him from chopping down the tree.
Grey Delise as the voice of Shaley - She is the main later secondary antagonist who is a chipmunk that is in love with Surly and the arch-enemy of Andie. When Surly first met Shaley on the streets alone and sad, she acted very sweet and nice towards because she was lovestruck by him. Until she found out that he is married to Andie she acted vicious, wicked, arrogant and a greedy maniac which her true personality and wants Surly all for herself. She mainly hates Andie and Buddy because they are the closest friends of him and wants both of them gone and away from Surly.
Jeff Bennett as the voice of Mr. Norris - He is the tertiary antagonist who is the owner of Stop N' Shop where the animals are trying to get food. He is very cruel and insensitive to animals and he sets mouse traps in the walls and from between the floors so he won't get an animal infestation and he has hated animals since he was a kid mainly because he is allergic to all kinds of animal fur. When Surly was trying to get food for the animals, he started holding a grudge against him and wants him out of his store and stop scaring off his customers or he would turn and sell them as a fur coat.
Jeff Dunham as the voice of Mole - He is a mole that is a close friend of Andie and Grayson that helps all the animals find food for the snowy winter and he has a hard time seeing when the sun is out but when the moon is out and when it's night he has a good time seeing. He was formally the second-in-command of Raccoon before Raccoon died in the first film for his villainous actions. During the morning he has to go in the shade so he can see what he is doing.
Sara Gadon as the voice of Lana - She's a beautiful, young woman who is the pet owner of Precious. She has a sweet, polite, and femme fatale personality and she is really kind to animals. Whenever Lana takes Prescious to the park, she'll let Precious play with the other animals, give her a walk, and so she can have some fresh air. She formerly dated a master criminal after she found out that he was robbing a bank and replacing the money with nuts and she broke up with him.
