Giant marmoset

A giant marmoset mother and her offspring in Rio, Brazil.

The Giant marmoset is a species giant sized monkey native to South America. It resembles a common marmoset, but is much much bigger. It is as tall as an Asian elephant's shoulder height, making them the largest primates on the planet, bigger than the extinct Gigantopithecus. The babies are as tall as wild boars. It is an omnivore, with 90% its diet plants and 10% its diet carrion and insects. It lives in South American grasslands, rainforests, and sometimes cities, but some migrated to North American grasslands, forests, and swamps due to global warming, making them a problem to cities, towns, and some native North American species.
