TNN (which originally stood for The New Network, but is now meaningless since 1989) is a television network in Aurora, launched in 1987 out of the independent stations of Mediaplex, which had recently acquired the Wesley Katz Film (WKF) production company. It was mainly on UHF stations outside of big cities, until the major 1994-97 affiliation realignment. However, it is still not considered a major network.
It is owned by the American company ViacomCBS as of 2019, after their acquisition of it from Newsmedia Aurora, owned by Richard Faulkner.
Trivia[]
