Super Mario Bros.: Wii Edition is a Super Mario game for the Nintendo Wii. It is the Wii version of the popular game Super Mario Bros. The game used many elements like characters and items from more recent Mario games.

Opening
It's a peaceful day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Tonight is the Mushroom Carnival, and Princess Peach invites Mario to help decorate. Mario has to run through Toad Town. But when Mario arrives to Peach's Castle, Mario sees Bowser walking out of the Castle, holing Peach. Bowser laughs at Mario, and jumps onto his Airship, and flies away.

Toadsworth | An elderly Toad that has been with Princess Peach for a long time. He is very protective of her, like any grandpa would be. Toadsworth is found in Peach's Castle, showing you hint videos, that costs a cretain amount of Star Coins. |

Yoshi | Yoshi is able to be ridden by any of the playable characters. He can be found in Yoshi Eggs and when ridden, he can eat enemies and use his flutter jump to get to higher places. He can also jump on Piranha Plants. |

- Main Mode - Go on the adventure to save Princess Peach.
- Battle Mode - Battle on different courses.
- Mini-Game Mode - Play different Mini-games.
- Sandbox Mode - Make your own levels.
- Music Mode - After beating World 8, you can listen to music.
Battle Mode
These are the battle modes:
- Big Star Bash - This appeared in the original New Super Mario Bros. Try to get an amount of Big Stars or as many before the time runs out.
- Cash 'n' Coins - This appeared in the original Wii version. Try to get as many coins through a level. Get also the Star Coins first.

Challenge Mini-Games
- Feed Petey* - This Mini-game basically comes from Mario Sports Mix. Petey Piranha is in the middle of the curse, and you have to grab fruit, and shoot it in his mouth from a cannon. Each fruit gives you 1 point. The one with the most points, win, (Multiplay only).
- Race the Quick - In this Mini-game, you have to race Koopa the Quick in a level.
