Production[]
An animated Super Mario movie have been in development for many years. On May 21st, 2013, Nintendo Entertainment announced a 3D animated film in the works, based on the Super Mario franchise. Production started in the fall of that same year.
Merchandise[]
A video game based on the film will release on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in March 2016. Toys, books, and other promotions will release on to promote the movie.
