Suicide Mission is an upcoming military 2022 action movie released in 2022 by Jason Bond. The movies talks about a US president and his daughter being kidnapped by dangerous terrorists from multiple countries. While the US deals with the negociation, a Marines unity goes to a rescue mission while a veteran is called by the mother to save her family on his own, since the Marines seem unaware of some details.

The movie receives majorly a positive opinion, with decent storytelling but overshadowed by a beautiful cinematography and realistic visual effects.

Plot[]

In the present era, the movie starts directly with the US president being dragged by force inside a black SUV by masked men. They take him to the airport to fly to an unknown location. After a few hours, a huge reunion is set to deal with the situation. They soon get an expected call from the leader of the group, who chose to not hide his voice and unmask himself in front of the camera : the senators recognize him as Rafe Silas, a former US soldier who got fired for revealing incriminating secrets about the american government. Silas asks for $10,000,000 to be brought in Tokyo, Japan. To do that, they must only use cars and boats only. If they see a government plane, it will be gunned down and the president dies.

Right before cutting the video, Silas announces that he also has the president's daughter with them, who has tried to save her father but got busted. Silas reveals he might kill her by boredom if they don't do quick. While half of the operators assembles the money, the other half decides to form quickly a squad to save the hostages. The team is led by the colonel James Skinner and is composed of Echo, Delta (who wears a dark mask), Ramirez and Mango. The plan is simple : infiltrate Japan through a submarine, find the building where they hide and do their job. But the First Lady warns them that she knows Silas since she was a colonel and Rafe was under her command, therefore she knows he is smarter than they think. Unfortunately, being a woman, she is quickly ignored.

Frustrated, she goes outside to smoke when she meets her secretary who advices her that her own father was a military and he could help her. Desperate, she follows her advice and meets the veteran John Parker. Parker quickly accepts helping her, since it's about the president and especially he has a few scores to settle with Silas. So the woman explains that Silas has surely set a trap in Japan and is keeping the hostages elsewhere. His goal might be to take the money and kill those who will bring it. Parker suggests warning the professionals but she insists it's no use; they won't care about them. So their solution will be to get the video sent by Silas.

Meanwhile, on the coast of Tokyo, Skinner's team arrives from the submarine and locates the hostages : they are kept inside a public building, evacuated by the enemies. They mercilessly kill every terrorist until they find the president, wearing a bag on his head, held hostage by an italian terrorist. This one gets headshot and the save is done. But once they take off the bag, they find instead a dead female waiter with a mobile phone in her mouth. When Skinner pulls out the phone, a video plays where Silas explains he knew they couldn't resist proceeding their way and refusing to do as told. Therefore, they will die while he will assault violently the hostages. After that, the leader instinctively jumps at Ramirez to protect him. Meanwhile, Mango is killed by a huge explosive wave caused by a hidden bomb. The rest of the crew survives to the collapse but ends up covered in wounds and bruises. Plus more enemies come to finish them. They eventually kill everyone and return to the base.

Meanwhile, Rafe kicks repeatedly the teenager while the father is forced to watch. He decides to call the White House to tell them that he changed the meeting place : Kremlin, Moscow. The only issue : the USA are not in good terms with Russia. So the travel is risky. Besides, the money has just arrived to Poitiers, in France. So too late to complain; they consent to the change. Meanwhile, the First Lady arrives at the White House and manages, with difficulty, to gain access and steal the video footage. She returns to Parker's house. Skinner, Ramirez and Delta are sent to the Kremlin to convince the president Popovic. He accepts listening to them but assures them that no one other than russian militaries have entered in the building. Ramirez is confused. The dialogue is cut short by an ukrainian terrorist shooting Popovic to the shoulder and trying to kill everyting, slaughtering russian militaries in his way. The americans manage to shoot him down but Ramirez volunteers to heal Popovic.

The terrorist's phone rings; Skinner responds : it's Rafe Silas. He knows Skinner answers the call; he says basically that they did that mistake again, so he tried to kill them but he knew the terrorist would die. After a short confrontation, Rafe reveals the new rendezvous point is in the Burj Khalifa. Ramirez is sick of Rafe's game and even punches Skinner. After a few pushes, everyone calms down and Skinner thinks about a new initiative : he will join the team bringing the money while Ramirez retreat back to America after taking care of the russian president who thanks them for their work but is disappointed by his men's death.

Parker and the First Lady read the video footage.
