Plot

In the mid-1990s in San Diego,

Sarah Taggert (voiced by Debby Ryan) - a straight A student at Jimmy Carter High School and the most intelligent member of the group.
Jake Burton (voiced by Jason Mantzoukas) - Aaron's rebellious best friend.
Holly Robbinston (voiced by Ellie Kemper) -
Flint Barlow (voiced by Drew Gars) - a left-wing raised student at Jimmy Carter High School and the political member of the group. He is Elle's only friend.
Elianor "Elle" Rafe (voiced by Lizzy Caplan) - an outcast goth student at Jimmy Carter High School and a member of the the group.
Ronin (voiced by Matt Ryan) - a sorcerer from the Magic Realm who poses as the librarian of Jimmy Carter High School and the groups' mentor.

Jessica Byrnes (voiced by Aubrey Plaza) - The spoiled and egocentric valley girl head cheerleader and the most popular student in Jimmy Carter High School.
