Space Mouse (Sean Astin) was a little mouse living in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. He travels in a flying saucer to save outer space from predators. He has a friend who is a german shepherd named Seamus (Craig T. Nelson). Space Mouse is on a mission to rescue Rebel (James Corden), a gerbil who got stuck in a drain outside the playground at Pocono Elementary School! Space Mouse makes a lasso out of a shoelace and drops it down the drain. Rebel takes the loop, wraps it around his waist, and Space Mouse pulls him to safety. Rebel thanks Space Mouse by giving him a wheel of cheese. Space Mouse shares the cheese with Rebel and his friends from school. Meanwhile, inside the Pocono Township Police Department, lived a mean police officer named Officer Leo (Tom Kenny), who has two vicious rottweilers named Buster and Bruiser (Frank Welker), an african wild dog named Leonard (Andrew Kishino), a nile crocodile named Napoleon (Kevin Michael Richardson) and a tiger named Splinter (Jason Lee). Space Mouse battles Buster and Bruiser with his tiger Splinter, then Nellie (Kate McKinnon) the cockatoo circles above and cheers on Splinter who defeats the rottweilers. Later that night, Misty (Hynden Walch), Brian (Joe Pantoliano) the hedgehogs, Brainy (Jacqueline Pillon) the rabbit and Nellie celebrate Space Mouse's victory! The next day, Rebel left town with Buster and Bruiser. Nellie welcomes Peach (E.G. Daily) the mallard to their team. Next is Lincoln (Josh Zuckerman) the squirrel, he loves to eats walnuts and joins the team. Then came Izzy (Holly Hunter), a nutria with lots of love and joins the team. And lastly, Mac the black horse meets Seamus and he joins the team. Space Mouse creates a singing group called "The Rascals": Space Mouse the Agent, Nellie the Lead Singer, Peach the Keyboard Player, Lincoln the Electric Guitar Player and Izzy the Rocker play music around Tannersville, Pennsylvania! Katie (Novie Edwards) the teenage girl sings Happy Together by The Turtles and meets Space Mouse. Space Mouse says, "Hey, I think you should adopt me, since I'm playing in that band!" Katie says, "Hello, Space Mouse! I'm going to take you home!" So, Katie takes Space Mouse to her home in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. Katie lives in a blue house with two floors, and there's plenty of room for Space Mouse. Katie brings the mouse home to the blue house on Alger Avenue 18372. Space Mouse needs to pick a room to live in. He chooses the pink room where he meets Joy (Mae Whitman), another mouse that loves Space Mouse the best! They go on adventures together. They go to a park near the house to meet other animals where they meet two red foxes named Sheila (Elissa Knight) and Pedro (Curtiss Cook), a north american raccoon named Joey (Owen Wilson), a european badger named Prince (Hoon Lee), a white-tailed deer named Ivy (Sia), a nine-banded armadillo named Harry (John Ratzenberger), a chameleon named Noir (Jim Parsons), a white goat named Hardy (Tyler Perry), and a red squirrel named Fiona (Liz Cackowski). They play fun games like hide and seek, play catch, races with obstacle courses, and dancing. They sing musicals, then they got tired, so they go home and take a nap. They make some spaghetti and some salad for lunch, and for dessert, they have apple pie! They do the dishes, put them away, and decide what to do for the rest of the day.
