Plot

Space Mouse (Sean Astin) was a little mouse living in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. He travels in a flying saucer to save outer space from predators. He has a friend who is a german shepherd named Seamus (Craig T. Nelson). Space Mouse is on a mission to rescue Rebel (James Corden), a gerbil who got stuck in a drain outside the playground at Pocono Elementary School! Space Mouse makes a lasso out of a shoelace and drops it down the drain. Rebel takes the loop, wraps it around his waist, and Space Mouse pulls him to safety. Rebel thanks Space Mouse by giving him a wheel of cheddar cheese. Space Mouse shares the cheese with Rebel and his friends from school. Meanwhile, inside the Pocono Township Police Department, lived a mean police officer named Officer Leo (Tom Kenny), who has two vicious rottweilers named Buster and Bruiser (Frank Welker), an african wild dog named Leonard (Andrew Kishino), a nile crocodile named Napoleon (Kevin Michael Richardson) and a tiger named Splinter (Jason Lee). Space Mouse battles Buster and Bruiser with his tiger Splinter, then Nellie (Kate McKinnon) the cockatoo circles above and cheers on Splinter who defeats the rottweilers. Later that night, Misty (Hynden Walch) and Brian (Joe Pantoliano) the hedgehogs, Brainy (Jacqueline Pillon) the rabbit and Nellie celebrate Space Mouse's victory! The next day, Rebel left town with Buster and Bruiser. Nellie welcomes Peach (E.G. Daily) the mallard to their team. Next is Lincoln (Josh Zuckerman) the squirrel, he loves to eats walnuts and joins the team. Then came Izzy (Holly Hunter), a nutria with lots of love and joins the team. And lastly, Mac (Zachary Levi) the black horse meets Seamus and he joins the team. Space Mouse creates a singing group called "The Rascals": Space Mouse the Agent, Nellie the Lead Singer, Peach the Keyboard Player, Lincoln the Electric Guitar Player and Izzy the Rocker play music around Tannersville, Pennsylvania! Katie (Novie Edwards) the teenage girl sings Happy Together by The Turtles and meets Space Mouse. Space Mouse says, "Hey, I think you should adopt me, since I'm playing in that band!" Katie says, "Hello, Space Mouse! I'm going to take you home!" So, Katie takes Space Mouse to her home in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. Katie lives in a blue house with two floors, and there's plenty of room for Space Mouse. Katie brings the mouse home to the blue house on Alger Avenue 18372. Space Mouse needs to pick a room to live in. He chooses the pink room where he meets Joy (Mae Whitman), another mouse that loves Space Mouse the best! They go on adventures together. They go to a park near the house to meet other animals where they meet two red foxes named Sheila (Elissa Knight) and Pedro (Curtiss Cook), a north american raccoon named Joey (Owen Wilson), a european badger named Prince (Hoon Lee), a white-tailed deer named Ivy (Sia), a cougar named Rudy (Jim Cummings), a nine-banded armadillo named Harry (John Ratzenberger), a chameleon named Noir (Jim Parsons), a white goat named Hardy (Tyler Perry), and a red squirrel named Fiona (Liz Cackowski). They play fun games like hide and seek, play catch, races with obstacle courses, and dancing. They sing musicals, then they got tired, so they go home and take a nap. They make some spaghetti and some salad for lunch, and for dessert, they have apple pie! They do the dishes, put them away, and decide what to do for the rest of the day. They decided to play catch with a red ball, go swimming in the pool, read books under a tree in the park, play tag, and so much more! Meanwhile, Space Mouse was running into Katie's room. Then all of a sudden, a silhouette of Elmer The Great Dane appears in the kitchen wall, and his barking startles him! Then, he was in the dark room. Space Mouse looked around and he heard quiet croaks in the corner of the room. He turned his head towards the sound of quiet croaks and discovered a common frog named Frodo (Jimmy Kimmel)! Frodo turned and looked at Space Mouse and croaked loudly at him, startling Space Mouse on purpose. Space Mouse apologized to Frodo for scaring him. He turned on his flashlight to see better and he saw something in the corner of the room. As he got closer, he saw it was an older house mouse named Loy (Rob Paulsen). Loy joins Space Mouse and they start telling each other ghost stories and Joy joins in. After making up spooky stories, they decided to keep the light on when they go to bed and sleep. The next morning, the rooster crowed in the distance, it was sunny outside and a bit windy, so Mac said to Space Mouse, "Hey, wanna try flying on a kite?" "Sound's like fun!" Space Mouse replied to the horse. Mac retrieves a kite with a pocket in it, props it up on the fence, then Space Mouse climbs into the pocket on the kite. Mac says, "Hold on tight!" Mac puts the string of the kite in his mouth and starts to gallop away. The kite flies into the air with Space Mouse yelling, "Wohoo! This is great!" All of the sudden, the kite gets caught in a tree. Thankfully, Space Mouse could climb down to the tree to Mac's back. Space Mouse says to Mac, "Thank You! That was awesome, Mac!" Space Mouse says, "What else can we do?" Katie walked to Space Mouse and she said, "What have the two of you been up to?" Mac sheepishly replied, "Oh!" and said, "Just flying a kite with Space Mouse on it!" Just then, the kite drops out of the tree. A little boy named Liam (Spencer Fox) walks to Katie and says, "Oh, can I please give it a try, Katie?" Katie replied, "Of course, Liam!" Liam says to Space Mouse, "Hop aboard!" Space Mouse climbs aboard and says, "Blast Off!" And Liam goes running, pulling the kite behind him. The kite flies into the sky like a bird. Space Mouse yells, "Woohoo!" for the second time. Liam slows down and the kite descends slowly and gently to the ground. Space Mouse says, "That was fun!" and Seamus says, "I wanna try flying the kite!" Space Mouse says, "I need a break!" All the animals take a snack break and shares with each other cantaloupe, seeds, nuts, and hay for Mac! After the break, they go swimming at the lake. They go back to the blue house to go to sleep after a fun-filled day! That night, they all dream about the wonderful day they had together! The next day, it was Friday and it was raining outside. They decided to play indoor games with a hamster named Echo (Gregg Henry). They also helped Katie clean the house. Space Mouse, Joy, and Loy team up and pushed the broom to sweep the floor. Peach the mallard cleans the bathtub with sponges using her wings! An orange tabby cat named Romeo (Tobey Maguire) joins in cleaning and he uses his tail to dust the furniture! Misty and Brian vacuum the carpet! Rebel comes and says, "Can we play some games?" Lincoln said, "I love acrobats, and playing scavenger hunt!" They could play tag with each other. They stop at the treetop to have a snack like blueberries and raspberries. Sultan (Samuel L. Jackson) the African spurred tortoise delivers a box of fresh fruits such as apples, blueberries, strawberries, and oranges. Space Mouse put on his Christmas pajamas that has snowmen and snowflakes all over, selects a book such as the Magic Tree House, makes himself a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows, and sits by the fireplace to read. He starts to get sleepy, brushes his teeth, and goes to bed. The next morning, Space Mouse rides on Nellie to forage for fresh blueberries to put into their pancakes for breakfast! They go to the orchard and pick oranges to make fresh-squeezed orange juice. They go back inside and set the dining room table for breakfast.
