Somewhere is an animated series created by Aaron McCullough. The show centers around 3 colorful friends in their mid-20s who shared a hotel room together since they were teenagers. They go by the names of Michael, Hannah, and Drake, with Michael being the responsible one who knows how to stay out of trouble, Hannah being the fun one who loves having fun, and Drake being the diobolical one who likes to do blow stuff up most of the time. This show is a spin-off of Pan-Boy!, which takes place in the same universe as that show. The show is the first Cartoon Network Studios production that's not produced for Cartoon Network.

The series originally ran from March 1st, 2013 to May 17th, 2013 for a total of 13 episodes on TBS. A 26-episode second season premiered on Netflix on August 18, 2019. Both a 15-episode third and final season, and a crossover special with Pan-Boy! will premiere in 2020.

The show is usually rated TV-PG-DV in the United States. Some episodes are rated just TV-PG.

Production

In late 2011 to early 2012, McCullough starting developing a new show called Somewhere, with most of the same people who worked on Pan-Boy!. He created a pitch pilot to TBS called "Somewhere in Space", they liked the pilot so much that they green lit the show in early 2013.

Animation

The animation for Season 1 was handled by Rough Draft Korea, Seasons 2-3's animation are now handled by Mercury Filmworks.

Music

Just like Pan-Boy!, The music for this show was chiptune music produced by Jake Kaufman.

Cancellation

The show was originally cancelled by TBS on May 17, 2013 after one season and 13 episodes. The reason for the cancellation due to low ratings and TBS not liking the show all too much, thus moving the show's time slot over and over, and airing the episodes out of order. A second season was supposed to premiere in 2014, but it was cancelled.

Revival

Due to popular demand, Netflix brought back the show for a second and third season. Season 2 premiered on August 18, 2019. Production on Season 2 started around late 2016 to early 2017.
