Skullgirls: The Nigh End is a 2022 animated film released by Maple Leaf Films & Warner Bros. Animation.

Plot[]

10 Years of struggling to defeat the Skullgirl, and the Skull Heart has finally been destroyed. BUT, one tiny problem: There is one undestroyed shard left. It revives the Skullgirl and brainwashes half of the city. Now they hate each other... Except from our local Heroes and Anti-Heroes. The two sides team up to track down clues and gain weapons and support items. They have to stop the Skullgirl and destroy the Skull Heart once and for all and wish to un-brainwash everyone and for the whole world to be protected from evil otherwise the world will come to an end!

  • In Umbrella's Room, there is a stuffed doll of Annie.
  • In a parking area, a Slipknot poster is briefly seen on the wall.
  • One of Marie's film quotes "That's right... People who are not needed in this scene should go and make their exit." is also a quote used by Nagito Komaeda (The Servant) in Danganronpa Another Episode - Ultra Despair Girls.
  • Umbrella can breifly be seen watching the music video to 'Dumb Ways To Die' by Tangerine Kitty on the TV, but only the first chorus.
  • When Parasoul gets into an elevator, there is a Sagan teddy on the floor that she picks up and gives to Umbrella as a gift.
  • In The Mayor of New Meridan's room of the Meridan Office Building, There's a newspaper with the headline saying: 'THE SKULLGIRL IS ON THE LOOSE ONCE AGAIN!'
  • In the Scene where Ms. Fortune says "That Skullgirl will deserve paw-nishment time!" is a refrence to the line "It's Punishment Time!" From the Danganronpa series

  • Kihmlin Tran, Charlotte Ann, Erica Mendez and Cassandra Lee Morris reprised their roles as Ms. Fortune, Robo-Fortune, Double, Annie and Umbrella.
  • The English Version of In A Moment's Time is only played in the English Version of the film, and the Japanese Version of In A Moment's Time is only played in the Japanese Version of the film.
  • The film was teased on August 26, 2022.
  • The film was released in honour of the Skullgirls series turning 10 years old.
