Singwar (8xè%6E) is the collective polytheistic faiths of Qirsyllvian Elves.

The faith's origins are shrouded in mystery, but it had its roots planted in ancient Southern Aquilonis some six millenniums ago before it spread across the world over the ensuing centuries, supplanting faiths followed by most other elves influenced by other cultures of the time. Yet, there are still many groups of elves who follow other major and minor faiths. Though called the faith of Qirsyllvian elves, in the past several centuries – a couple thousand years or so – elves influenced by other cultures have been turning to religions more prevalent in their home regions, to the point that Singwar is mostly a minority in those regions.

Singwar, is more predominant among elves of Geminos (Eurodysia & Aquilonis), and the Eurodyne colonies in Nekcroz, Tarak, and Maritymir. Elves outside those lands tend to follow more local religions.

Elven Pantheon

Tyrion & Luctiana

Tyrion (17Õ`B5^) and Luctiana (jzU1`B5#`C) are the central figures of Elven religion & mythology. They were, according to popular myth, the first elven emperor and empress in recorded history. According to elven mythology, they were the first rulers of the legendary/mythical Empire of Konjyrnia (z5^l7Õ5`B`C), first founding the empire after uniting their separate kingdoms through marriage.

They are also deified in the Taogerites of the Elven Pantheon as the "Lawgiver" and the "Maiden" respectively.

Main Pantheon

The Elven Pantheon is divided into two branches: the Taogerites (1`Cx^7R1TiR), the Heavenly Gods & Goddesses, and the Lofykearites (jeHzÕ`V7E1TiR), Gods & Goddesses of the Surface and Underworld. Due to the division between the two branches, there is often religious strife amongst the elves, with the three classes of elves often choosing to give priority to one branch or the other. The High Elves tend to favor the Taogerites, with some acknowledgement of the Lofykearites and major emphasis on Tyrion and Luctiana. The Dark Elves on the other hand fully favor the Lofykearites, some to the point of considering the Taogerites deities heresy. The Wood elves on the other hand worship both branches equally, embracing both the light and the dark to feel at home in nature.

Notes & Trivia

  • The religion's name, pronounced: Sin-Gwar, is a portmanteau of Sindarin and Tengwar, an elven language and writing system from J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings universe.
  • The Elven Pantheon was based off the Elven pantheon from the Warhammer Fantasy universe, but the names of the branches and deities were changed or modified.
  • Tyrion, the Lawgiver, is also the first elven emperor, according to the myths of elven lore.
    • Luctiana, the Maiden, another deity in the Elven pantheon, and the wife of Tyrion, is also the first elven empress in the myths of elven lore. Luctiana is also the name of a fairy whom was one of the first seven abjaksan as the Abjaksan of Alfheim, and is worshiped in Faerish faith and Septifidelity, two unrelated religions. These two figures, despite sharing a name, are unrelated in any way.
