Shuvuuia deinomodernus (name meaning "modern terrible bird") is a species of small bird-like non-avian theropod dinosaur that originally came from the late Cretaceous period of Mongolia and was once extinct, but has since been brought back from extinction by SciiFii and now lives in Shuvuuia: Kiwis of the Cretaceous in in the Inland Plains section of Cretaceous Park located in Sacramento, California. It is a member of the family Alvarezsauridae, small coelurosaurian dinosaurs which are characterized by short but powerful forelimbs specialized for digging. Shuvuuia deinomodernus is unique among non-avian theropods in the skull's ability to perform prokinesis, that is, it can flex its upper jaw independently of its braincase. Like other alvarezsaurids, Shuvuuia can use its forelimbs to open insect nests, and its slender, unusually mobile jaws to probe after such prey like ants and termites.
