Scream (fanfic)

Scream (fanfic) is a horror fanfiction based on the 1996 slasher film, Scream and serves as a mash up of the first film and the tv series.

Plot

The fanfiction opens up in a similar fashion as the first film as Nina Patterson and Casey Becker are getting ready for a movie night with their dates until they recieve a phone call from an unknown stranger asking them, "What is your favorite scary movie?". The two girls then play along but they are soon threatened for their lives as the caller becomes sadistic. He reveals that their boyfriends Tyler O'Neil and Steven Orth are being held hostage and demand the girls to play a horror trivia game for the lives of their boyfriends.

When Casey guesses a question wrong, Steven is then gutted before the terrified eyes of Tyler and Casey. Tyler breaks free from his binds and escapes to get help much to Nina's delight. When the girls answer the last question right, Nina goes to call the cops but a body is thrown through the glass doors and is revealed to be Tyler, who was stabbed to death and had his throat slashed. The girls attempt to escape the house but Casey makes it out of the house while Nina is ambushed and stabbed to death in Casey's bedroom by a masked figure.

Casey sees her parents approaching the house and tries to call out to them but the masked figure grabs her through the nearby window and slashes her throat. While trying to stumble to her parents, the killer stalks behind Casey and stabs her in the back before stabbing her multiple times as her parents enter the house to see the carnage that had transpired. Casey's mother tries to get help but sees Casey hung from a tree disemboweled and brutally mutilated and screams in terror.

The next day, news of the deaths descends on the town and a police investigation begins. Meanwhile, Sidney Prescott and her best friend Emma Duval are struggling with their impending anniversaries with the murders of Maureen Prescott and Emma's cousin Brandon James.

At the school fountain, Sidney and Emma even their friends Audrey Jensen, Stu Macher, Tatum Riley, Will Belmont, Billy Loomis, Noah Foster, Randy Meeks, Riley Marra, Jake Fitzgerald and Brooke Maddox discuss last night's murders with Noah concluding that they were somewhat related to the murders of Brandon James and Maureen Prescott while Audrey chiming in saying Nina posted a video of her and her girlfriend Rachel Murray making out before her death and Nina deserved to die before storming off with Emma and Sidney following.

That night, Sidney, Emma and Audrey visit a suicidal Rachel who is attempting to slit her wrists but is instantly comforted by the three girls. During their visit, Sidney receives a threatening phone call from the killer who attacks the girls shortly after Sidney hangs up.

They are chased into Rachel's bedroom where Emma, Audrey and Sidney bolt the door shut by blocking it with the closet door. Rachel attempts to escape out of the window only for another killer in a Ghostface costume to ambush her and slash her throat before pushing off the roof to her death. The second killer enters the window to attack the girls but they escape through the adjacent bathroom and out into the hallway where they end up into the basement after a long chase. The killers then disappear and the girls leave the house only to run into Billy, who came to their rescue and found Rachel dead outside.
