Movie franchise.

It was distributed by Dimension Films, a division of The Weinstein Company. The film is written by returning Scary Movie 3 and 4 conceptual writer Craig Mazin, David Zucker & Pat Proft and directed by the previous instalment's director Malcolm D. Lee starring Anna Faris, Craig Bierko, Ashley Tisdale, Regina Hall, Simon Rex, Charlie Sheen, Erica Ash, Missi Pyle, Anthony Anderson, Kevin Hart, Jaimie King, Fred Willard, Christine Baranski, Rachel Dratch, Ada-Nicole Sanger, Molly Shannon, Gracie Whitton and Betty White.

The film features the return of Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks who served as main characters in all the previous instalments apart from the previous fifth instalment, Mahalik and CJ the crazed duo of the third and fourth instalments who were absent from the fifth previous instalment and Tom Ryan of the fourth instalment who didn't return for the fifth instalment.

Also returning are Jody Sanders, Kendra Brooks and Cathy Sanders who served as three central protagonists of the previous instalment.

Simon Rex and Charlie Sheen of the past few instalments return however Rex portrays not only his previously changed character of Dan Sanders of the fifth instalment but also George Logan and Sheen as farmer Tom Logan.

The film likes it predecessors lampoons popular horror films of the moment, with this instalment taking aim at Christophe Gans acclaimed 2006 film adaption of the universally famous Konami survival horror game Silent Hill, Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's critically acclaimed 2012 twisted referential send up horror film The Cabin In The Woods (which had been indirectly referenced in the previous Scary Movie), James Wan's 2013 hit haunted house horror film The Conjuring, The Michael Bay produced cult box office hit 2013 Horror Thriller The Purge as well as the Brad Pitt starring blockbuster Action Zombie Horror film World War Z.

The film also does a send up of a collection of other recent big horror films and ones of the past, Action and Comedy films such as Kick-Ass and Mean Girls, television shows such as Dance Moms and pop culture icons such as Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Calvin Harris, Youtube icon Chris Crocker, regurlarly spoofed Britney Spears, The infamous Slender application antagonist Slenderman and the series Toddlers In Tiaras.

The film is slated for theatrical release on January 12th, 2014.

Plot

Four people come through a facility, a shady mechanic named Antonio (Jamie Campbell-Bower), a mail order Latina thieving bride Sera (Alexa Vega), A hulking homosexual, drama queen security guard Benji BJ (JBL), an elderley woman Jan Van Der Dyke (Betty White) donning I Love Satan Shirt and a sleazy mentally handicapped pervert businessman Vincent Sinner (Andy Samberg).

The group get into a facility elevator despite an alarm going off and the intercome sounding one of the creatures with the guise of an elderley woman has escaped confinement and several guards running towards the elevator pointing at her and shouting out to the others to get out.

The others ignore them and take the intercom message as a joke as they suddenly come to a halt as the elevator ascends.

Then are patched through Dan Truman-Capote (Aziz Ansari) head of the facility's security they end up in a argument with him and after experiencing bizarre blackouts which result in bizarre occurences (Vincent seizing Sera's bumcheeks, Benji letting out a girly scream and dropping all matter of bizarre of gay sex tools, Jan munching on Sera's back and Antonio stashing his tools down his pants) Jan reveals herself as Satan and the one so clearly mentioned on the intercom as an escaped facility monster.

She then proceeds to jump into mid air and slow-mo kick away Antonio and Sera leaving a girly screaming Benji and dribbling Vincent.

Vincent is killed as she conjures a glass shard from breaking the mirror and goes to stab the screaming Benji due to his irritating screaming but instead floats to Vincent and hacks into the side of his neck.

As Jan turns she has Benji approach with a high pitched girly scream and then leap into the air and kick her in the face spiralling her back into a conveniantely left noose which strings her up and apparently hangs her.

She then rips off the noose pulls forth a collection of weapons which have expired and then finally grunting in a sigh backhands Benji which twists his head around and which begins to spin around and around making Jan and the others dizzy.

Antonio then ends up in an argument with Sera as suddenly after the facility's drugs are pumped into the elevator they come to believe each other are the killer and it is revealed the facility's chem department vented the wrong alteration drugs which were meant to make Devil Jan believe she was just a bizarre old woman which is how they got her into her containement cell in the first place.

So in a twisted turn as the last power glitch occurs Antonio stabs Sera in the throat a spoon he produces from his pocket and then as Devil Jan advances he picks her up and drops to the ground delivering a cartoonish beating before the elevator cracks open at Devil Jan's control.

The facility then see Antonio spanking Devil Jan who is calling out for help and they then discharge tranquilisers at them both.

The title then appears before heading off to the new settled in home of Jody and Dan Sanders.

The two are awakened at night as their grunting daughter Lily and crying baby Aidan alerts that the eldest Cathy has left the house and is seen doing a series of bizarre sleepwalking charades.

Jody eventually breaks through by banging Cathy over the head with a pipe and the following day she awakens at a tree as Dan inside patches through to the facilty from the beginning whom he coincidentally is working for.

Jody sees Cathy's drawings of the town "Silent Hell" and a dark haired little girl with masked people and zombies before coming across a final stick figure drawing of Jody and Dan engaged in intercourse which Cathy says she saw them doing in the kitchen last night before she went to sleep.

Quickly reverting subject Jody changes onto the issue of sleepwalking and acrobatics and everything else she has been doing in her sleep as well as mentioning a town called Silent Hell which she also drawn pictures of.

Jody tells her she is going to take her on a trip to Silent Hell and figure out what the hell is going on.

As the story continues on Jody ends up in an accident along with a butch, lesbian police officer Sibel and the two begin searching for a missing Cathy who has vanished from Jody's sedan following the accident.

Ironically Cathy is right behind the two all the time simply gagged by Daria Gobblespie a hobo woman of the town.

Jody and Sibel find themselves entrapped in the town and soon comes a called upon Dan who comes to Silent Hell and makes his way to a cabin in the woods where he sets up surveillance from him and Jody's former home before taking a lift down to the facility.

There he and several others under the leadership of the demanding deep phone voiced director are orchestrating a ritual sacrifice of four people and the suffering of a fifth whilst they must fill out allocated roles: The Sl*T, The Toolbag, The Retard, The Smart A**** and the Tease.
