The razor-backed shark (Saivodus magnificens) is a species of ctenacanthiform shark that originally lived from the Late Carboniferous in what ie now North America as an extinct species, Saivodus striatus, and was once extinct, but has since been brought back from extinction by SciiFii and now lives in its own aquarium in Paleozoic Park located at Downey, California. The razor-backed shark is a very large shark and ranges between 19-29 feet (6-9 meters) long, allowing this species to grow a bit larger than a great white shark. It is a carnivore that primarily feeds on carrion, fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods, although it has been known to rarely feed on small birds. As its name suggests, the razor-backed shark as a spine on both of its back fins, which are mainly used for defense against any potential predators and intruders, including rivals of its own species. Like most sharks, it is a solitary animal that spends throughout most of its entire life alone except during the breeding seasons.
