Rumpelstiltskin? is a 2004 Animated American Fantasy Children's film distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and the 44th film in the Walt Disney Films canon.
It is written and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker who helmed Disney's The Little Mermaid, The Princess & The Frog, Hercules and Aladdin.
The film is based off the classic 1812 Brother's Grimm fairytale of the same name and features the voice talents of David Morse, Frances Conroy, Natalie Portman, Bob Hoskin, Rupert Friend, Gerard Butler, Michael Sheen and Dominic West.
Plot
An evil tiny sorcerer Rumpelstiltskin who travels from kingdom to kingdom stealing princes and princesses comes to the kingdom of a King? Dimas and Queen? Evangeline whom he strikes a deal with.
The deal help bring the King back to health and the price her to be born princess daughter offered up unless she state his name.
Trailing the evil Rumpelstiltskin along with three trusty servants she learns his name and outsmarts the evil Rumpel who then proceeds to curse the three servants who aided her: Making one horribly scarred, another a bulging mass of fat and the other an invisible being.
He then swears he will get his hands on her daughter by the time she reaches age 15 by tricking her into a deal.
Rumpel resurfaces at the time he said and comes to abduct the Prince the Princess Eliza has come to fall in love with after he loses a deal with the evil miniscule sorcerer.
He then lures the Princess to him hoping she will make the deal of trading in her life for the life of the Prince.
