It was DreamWorks' second film based on a Rankin/Bass special, after 2025's Frosty The Snowman. Based on both the song and the TV special of the same name, The film was directed by Chris Miller, Alessandro Carloni, and David P. Smith, and written by Sarah Jane Cunningham and Suzie V. Freeman. The film stars the voices of Owen Laramore, Mckenna Grace, Jamie Elman, Seth Rogen, Keanu Reeves, and Michael Keaton.
