RLC is a 2013 American coming of age teen comedy drama film written and directed by Joss Whedon starring Rachel McAdams, Brady Corbet, Josh Hutcherson, Emma Watson, Shailene Woodley, Liam Hemsworth, Dev Patel and Britt Robertson.

The film's title stands for Reach Life's Calling and chronicles the stories of several different teenage youths who over the course of a day and night building up to a party pledge to their one final goal before Graduation.

The film opened theatrically to critical acclaim and praise like Chblonsky's Perks Of Being A Wallflower and Sofia Ford Coppola's The Bling Ring it marks a third teenage blockbuster to which actress Emma Watson has been an acclaimed character in.

The film was released theatrically on June 7th, 2013 and is slated for DVD and Blu-Ray release on November 24th, 2013.

Plot

A group of very different teens set out before their big Graduation Party send off to accomplish goals they have always wanted to acclompish and reveal their inner selves before leaving their small town.

Christian nice guy Charlie Davis (Brady Corbet) plans to announce his love for the school's most popular girl Cynthia (Rachel McAdams) after helping her cope with the break up from jerk boyfriend Luke Pria (Jack O'Connell) a drug addict.

Putting aside his firm beliefs the genuinely kind hearted Charlie prepares for the party.

Sensitive guy Sam Rhodes (Josh Hutcherson) comes out of the closet and aims to be the first homoesexual Varsity Jock at Midton High and attend the party as an equal to the rest of his peers.

Popular Brunette Cheerleader Betty Havverad (Emma Watson) who has to care for her autistic father every day after her mother died decides to drop her sincere good girl side and cut loose for the party.

Sy Jacobs (Shailene Woodley) the troubled school sl*t aims to obtain a loving boyfriend and drop her horrible reputation ready for the party.

And school class clown Jorjie Benta (Dev Patel) aims to obtain his mother's beautiful friend as a date for the party.

Sy comes to fall for popular nice guy jock Ben Havverad (Liam Hemsworth) who in turn falls for her and is to take Sy to the party as his date.

Jorjie's mother's friend agrees to come to the party passing herself off as his date but when he attempts to have sex with her after kissing her she stops him and he comes to obtain the school's nastiest popular girl Tenielle Galvin (Leven Rambin).

Cynthia flees the party after Charlie delivers his embarassing annoucement of his unrequieted love for her and abruptly kisses her.

She tells him she is confused as she just come out of a relationship.

Sam becomes popular amongst the school jocks and cheerleaders and finds a boyfriend in the school's popular skater Damien Hayward (Nick Zano) a closet homosexual.

He comes to be helped by Damien at the party as the jocks peer pressure him to get high with them at the party and after he takes a fall ends up with a blood nose and trips out majorly Damien comes to his rescue, coming to kiss him on the back of his truck.

Betty renounces her ways after almost having sex with jock Joseph Fimball (Nicholas D'Agosto) and heads home to her dad and apologizes but not before announcing to the school she has a mentally disabled father and is more then proud of that.

The following day at Graduation all the main characters come together and Cynthia delivers a speech announcing her love for Charlie before running to him and kissing him.
