Quincy: Detective of Durania is a 2017 Japanese anime film based on the Quincy franchise. The film was released in Japan on May 20, 2017, in the U.S. and Canada on January 12, 2018, and in Australia on February 8, 2018.
Detective of Durania tells a new story by Ryotaro Sekizawa that takes place after the events of the original manga. Due to the previous Quincy adaptations deviating from the manga, an introduction explaining some of the events of the manga was included in the film. Unlike the previous films, the film was animated by Shaft rather than Madhouse; in addition, much of the characters have different voice actors in the Japanese version with the exception of Quincy himself. During it's theatrical run, the film made back ¥750 million (5.8 million USD).

The film was actually announced in the west before it was announced in Japan. LIVE Entertainment, who previously co-produced The Story of Quincy, announced on their website that the movie was in development in Japan and that they were shopping for a distributor in all non-Asian territories. The film was written by Quincy creator Ryotaro Sekizawa and directed by Shaft's Akiyuki Shinbo and Yukihiro Miyamoto. Sekizawa even personally drew the keyframes for one of the film's sequences. The film's teaser trailer was first shown in a panel featuring Ryotaro Sekizawa at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 and would later be uploaded to LIVE Entertainment's YouTube channel. Tomokazu Seki was announced to be reprising his role for the Japanese version in mid-2016, while LIVE Entertainment announced the English dub cast in August of 2017, which confirmed that James Arnold Taylor, Kari Wahlgren, Dane Cook, Sean Hayes, Dylan McDermott, Alexis Bledel, David L. Lander, Jeff Bennett, Rick Moranis and Martin Short would be reprising their roles from the first Quincy movie.
