This article only exists in the NBC Nordic universe, where the youth channel Kanal Prince Bih (formerly known as NBC 2, The Art Entertainment Network, and Tattoo) exists in the universe. Most of its content that is related to the universe is meant to be mostly a sh*tpost.

Prince Television (PTV) is an American cable television network jointly-owned by Warner Bros. Discovery Networks and Canal+ Nordics.

The channel was launched on June 22, 1977, and the channel originally aired animations for mostly children, and currently broadcasting mostly music videos, game-shows, news, entertainment, talk-show, sitcom, reality, drama series, and programs that are from Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang, and TBS, and are aimed primarily at children and adults ages 8-35.

In 1964, Sterling Robinson pitched an idea about the cable television network, called The Prince Channel, collaborate with RCA Corporation and NBC.

1977-1983[]

On June 22, 1977, the channel was launched as Prince Studios Network, with the first episode of Lassie's Rescue Rangers.

In the early times, where the channel was launched, the channel broadcasts mostly animations that are for children and teens (5-17) from 5:30 am to 11 pm, while Neon Nights feature R and NC-17-rated movies that are for adults (18+) from 11 pm. to 5:30 am.

Prince Television does not become an entertainment channel until the '80s, while Neon Nights do not broadcast any television programs until in the year 1992.

1983-1994[]

In 1986, RCA Corporation was defunct, which Warner Communications owns the channel, while in 1995, Kinnevik became the co-ownership of the network.

1994-2003[]

In 1998, Modern Times Group becomes the co-owner instead of the investment company Kinnevik, after ZTV moves from Stockholm to London.

Since 2000, Prince Television now broadcasts from 06:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while Neon Night broadcasts from 10 p.m. to 06 a.m.

2003-2009[]

In 2003, Prince Television got rid of its mascot and changing its name to Viasat Prince and Viasat Neon, the channel's logo added a circle with the word "Viasat" on both Prince and Neon.

2009-2015[]

Many viewers wanted that Prince Television replacing Viasat Prince, and Prince Television was back.

2015-2017[]

2017-present[]

On March 13, 2020, Prince Television announced that most of its original programming was cancelled for a while due to COVID-19.

On February 5, 2021, the president of Prince Television and Neon Nights, Jordan Holland stated in an interview that this channel would focus more on animated series and less of that third-party content that is not suitable for the network. He also stated that the network will air preschool programming from the morning to the afternoon and that the channel will continue to broadcast music videos and live-action shows, he also stated that Prince Television will be a channel for everyone, but mainly for older children and teenagers.

Prince Television's current programming includes original series such as Greenbots, Angry Catman, The Emotion Monsters, Ninja Xiang, Educational-Exist, Prince Television's News Worldwide, World's Question!, Nostalgic Video Review, and Game-on!, as well as acquired programming from other studios, which as of December 2019 includes Oswaldo, American Dad!, Final Space, Miracle Workers, The Jellies!, Lazor Wulf, Mike Tyson Mysteries, Squidbillies, Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule, Decker, Dream Corp LLC, Joe Pera Talks with You, The Amazing World of Gumball, Cupcake & Dino: General Services, Teen Titans Go!, We Bare Bears, Unikitty!, Chop Chop Ninja, Apple & Onion, Craig of the Creek, Bakugan Battle Planet, D.N. Ace, Victor and Valentino, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart and many more. Prince Television has also produced music television programmings like Music Nonstop and PTV's Greatest Hits. Prince Television also features game-shows, news, talk-show, sitcom, reality, drama series, mostly on their schedule. There's also prime time programming on Prince Television unlike its sister channel Cartoon Network and Boomerang (which they don't have prime time programming).

From 1977 to 1986, Prince Television features mostly animated programming and having access to a large collection of animated programming and anime programmings like Scooby's Mystery Funhouse, The Care Bears, Super Friends, and Chojin Sentai Barattack.

  • Neon Nights - A timeshift television channel/late-night block that shows R-rated, or NC 17-rated movies or TV-MA-rated series, that aired from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Golden Time (Prime time) - A every-day block and prime time broadcast that airs programming that are from this channel, it's currently aired from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and was launched in 1981.
  • Cartoonito on Prince Television - A weekday preschool block that targets a preschool audience around two to six years old.

Seasonal[]

  • Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! - This block airs holiday specials and movies from December 1st to January 2nd.
  • Scaryween - This block airs Halloween specials and movies from every October.

Former[]

  • The Cartoon Action - This block airs mostly action anime and action animated series that are launched on July 5, 1997. The block aired from every Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., but in 2000, it was switched to every Friday night, where it aired from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., followed by Eek! The Cat on Neon Nights, it was cancelled on March 1, 2002.
  • ZTV - This block airs interviews, culture, entertainment, information and talk shows that are launched on 2003, but however cancelled in 2009. The block was aired on every Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
