Planes 3 (previously known as Beyond the Sky as a working title), is a 2023 American computer-animated sports action comedy-adventure film produced by Disney+ (Since of the closure of DisneyToon Studios) for Walt Disney Pictures. It is the third and final installment in the Planes franchise, the sequel to Planes (2013), and Planes: Fire and Rescue (2014) and is directed by Klay Hall.
Planes 3 was also scheduled to be released in theaters in 2019, but DisneyToon Studios shut down on June 28, 2018 so it was cancelled, so the team of Disney+ revived it to be a movie about Dusty Crophopper racing again to the WATGR with 2 a new racers, including a new super sonic jet plane named Thrust Jetstream, instead of it being a space movie (Because planes cannot fly or move in outer-space) only spaceships, rockets and UFOs can fly and move in space.
