Pinnochio is the fifth episode of Splash and Bubbles Super Why!.

Premise[]

Bubbles tells a lie to her caregiver about taking her medicine and feels terrible. The Reeftown Rangers fly into the book Pinocchio.

Transcript[]

Bubbles: Hi. I'm so glad you're here. It's me, Bubbles. Welcome to Reeftown, where all of our saltwater friends live.

Suddenly, her underwater phone starts ringing.

Bubbles: I have to go take my medicine now. Let's go to my caregiver's house!

...

She hopped in the door.

Caregiver: Bubbles, have you taken your medicine yet? Your pill box in the kitchen is still full.

Bubbles (Lying): *Gulp* Yes, I did.

Her caregiver just sighed and walked away. Bubbles suddenly realized that she had lied.

Bubbles: Oh no. I just told my caretaker that I took my medicine, but I actually didn't. I told her... a lie. I feel so terrible. This is a super big problem. And a super big problem needs us, the Reeftown Rangers.

She called the other Reeftown Rangers and swam to the Book Club.

Bubbles: Together, we will solve my problem.

They head inside as Bubbles swims up to the podium.

Ripple: Okay, Bubbles. State your problem.

Bubbles: I told my caregiver that I took my medication, but I actually didn't. I lied to her.

Dunk: Oh no!

Splash: That's terrible!

Ripple: Good question, Bubbles.

Bubbles: And when we have a question, we look...

All: In a book!

Splash: Which book should we look in?

Dunk swam up and pulled down the book Pinnochio.

Bubbles: Let's read the title of this book. Pinnochio. We know what we need to do. We need to jump into this book, and find the answer to my question. It's time to transform. Ready?

All: Ready!

Bubbles: Fins in. Put your fin in.

Everybody puts their fins/tail in.

Bubbles: Reeftown Rangers...

All: To the rescue!

They transformed and flew inside the book.

...

Spikes: We're in the book Pinocchio!

Dragonet: Let's read. A boy named Pinocchio lived in his dad Gepetto's toy shop.

Dragonet (continued): He broke Gepetto's wooden puppet, but said he didn't. That's just like me. I told my caregiver that I took my medicine, but I actually didn't. Both of us are telling lies.

Spectral: To Pinocchio we go!

Pinocchio: Hi, Reeftown Rangers.

All: Hi.

Suddenly, Gepetto came up.

Gepetto: Pinocchio, did you break my puppet?

Pinocchio: Uh, no.

He just sighed and walked away. Pinocchio's nose suddenly grew longer.

Splashachu: Your nose! You told a lie!

Pinocchio: It grows longer whenever I tell a lie.

Gepetto came up again.

Gepetto: I think I'll ask you again. Did you break my puppet?

Pinocchio: No.

Suddenly, he knocked over a shelf and spilled toys everywhere.

Dragonet: Oh no! The toys are everywhere!

Spikes: Cue the sand art! Cue the metal! It's Spikes to the rescue! With my magic spelling wand, I can spell the word "clean" and clean up the toys.

He spelled "clean," returning the toys back to the shelf.

Dragonet: Pinocchio, why do you keep lying? Can't you tell the truth?

Pinocchio: I can't. My story says so. (pointing) Pinocchio says "no."

Dragonet: Ninja Dragonet to the rescue! With the power to read, I can change this story and save the day!

She zapped the word "no" and floated over to three options: screw you, maybe, or yes. She tried "yes."

Dragonet: Pinocchio says "yes."

Gepetto: Did you break the puppet?

Pinocchio: Yes, I did. Are you mad?

Gepetto: I'm upset about the puppet, but I'm more upset that you lied. You should always tell the truth.

Pinocchio: Yes, I should. Bye, Reeftown Rangers.

All: Bye!

Dragonet: Why Flyers! Back to the book club!

The group flew back to the book club and returned back to normal before heading back to the computer.

Bubbles: Super Duper Computer! Give us our Super Story Answer!

The computer spelled out "TELL THE TRUTH."

Bubbles: Our Super Story Answer is "tell the truth." But why?

Dunk: Because Pinocchio realized it was important to tell the truth when he broke Gepetto's puppet.

Bubbles: So my question is, what should I do about lying to my caregiver?

All: Tell the truth!

Bubbles: I have to talk to her. Let's go!

...

Bubbles (to her caregiver): Hey, I need to talk to you. I actually didn't take my medicine. But I'll go take it right now.

Caregiver: I'm so glad you told the truth. It's always the best thing to do.

Bubbles then opened her pill box and ate her pills.

Bubbles: Hip hip hooray! The Reeftown Rangers saved the day!
