Peaceful is the second studio album by American actress and singer, Sofia Carson. It was released on August 2, 2019, through Capitol Records. The singer recorded the album from January 2018 to May 2019. It was produced by Frank Dukes, Louis Bell, Finneas, Kid Cudi, Max Martin and Jack Antonoff, among others. Carson made the album available for preorder on May 10, 2019. Musically, it is a soul and pop record that contains influences of funk.

Peaceful was supported by six singles: the lead single, "Blue Dreams" which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was later remixed to feature Saweetie; followed by the singles "Heavenly" and the Niall Horan collaboration "Blessed" which peaked at number 79 and number 27 respectively, and additional singles "Right Here", "Better Days" featuring Kid Cudi, and "Patience" featuring Normani, the latter of which peaked at number 36 on the Hot 100. The deluxe edition of the album includes the BloodPop® collaboration, "Outta My Head", which peaked at number 18 on the Hot 100 and the Major Lazer and Dua Lipa collaboration "Raven", which reached the top ten of the chart and was a worldwide commercial success.

Peaceful received generally positive reviews from music critics and debuted at number one in Australia and Ireland, number two in the United States, Canada and New Zealand and the top ten in Denmark, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom, among several other countries. To promote the album, Carson performed "Blue Dreams" at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, on March 15, 2019. The single was then performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 21, 2019. The song was also performed at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on May 1, 2019. She also embarked on the Blue Dreams Tour (2020), which visited North America and Europe across the span of five months. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA in January 2020.

"Blue Dreams" was released as the album's lead single on March 8, 2019. The song debuted at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100. The following week, with support from the song's official music video and the iHeartRadio Music Awards performance, the song reached number 24 on the chart. Weeks into the song's chart run, after the release of the remix featuring Saweetie, the song vaulted from number 73 to number 27. The song spent a total of fifteen weeks on the chart before departing. The song faired better internationally, reaching number 17 in Canada and number 19 in Australia. In the United Kingdom, the song peaked at number 27 and spent twelve weeks in the top forty of the UK Singles chart.

"Heavenly" was initially released as a promotional single from the album on May 10, 2019, but was later serviced to contemporary hit radio on May 28, 2019. The single entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 79, before departing the following week. After being serviced to radio, the song re-entered the chart for five non-consecutive weeks. However, the song failed to reach a higher peak. The song reached the top 50 on many international charts, including Canada and the United Kingdom, among others. The song reached the top ten of the New Zealand Hot Singles chart, debuting and peaking at number 5.

"Blessed" featuring Niall Horan was released as the album's third single on June 21, 2019. The track debuted at number 84 on the Hot 100, and later gained traction to peak at number 27 on the chart. The single also became Carson's first top 10 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart since late 2018. The song was a commercial success, reaching the top 20 in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The album's fourth single, "Right There", was released on July 26, 2019. Despite not being serviced to radio, the song charted within the top 100 of multiple territories, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom. In the United States, the song did not enter the US Billboard Hot 100, but peaked at number 3 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart, which serves as an extension of the Billboard Hot 100.

The album's fifth single, "Better Days" featuring Kid Cudi, was released alongside the album on August 2, 2019. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 85 following the release of the album, and reached a new height of number 50 after the release of the music video. The song went on to become the album's third top 40 single, peaking at number 36 on the Hot 100. The song also became the album's first single to spend twenty or more weeks on the chart. The album's sixth single, "Patience" featuring Normani, was released as the sixth single on January 14, 2020, impacting both mainstream and hot adult contemporary radio. The song had debuted at number 71 following the release of the album, before exiting the chart the very next week. After being released as a single, the song re-entered and began climbing the Hot 100 to peak at number 13.
