Out of Life/How to install

Important information before installation

For PC only: Out of Life is designed for Windows computers (7, 10, 11). The game is NOT AVAILABLE for phones, tablets, or game consoles. Any apps in mobile stores are counterfeit and have no connection to the original Loviise project.

System requirements: The game is resource-intensive due to its detailed graphics and the large number of characters on-screen. Low-end PCs may experience performance drops (freezes, lags) or launch errors.

Recommendation: Before launching, close all third-party programs (especially browsers, instant messaging apps, and torrents) and select the lowest graphics settings in the game settings.

Status and price: The current version, "Out of Life," is NOT a full, unfinished release. This version of the game is FREE. Future chapters will also be free.

Age rating: The game contains scenes of violence, psychological pressure, and mature themes. Not intended for children.

Method 1: Installing via the official launcher (recommended for updates)

The launcher is the official program for easy installation and subsequent updates of the game.

1. Download the launcher.
   • Go to the game's official website: https://www.google.com/search?q=outoflife-official.com
   • On the main page, find and click the large "Download Launcher" button.
   • The file will be named OutOfLife_Launcher.zip.
2. Unzip the archive.
   • You will need an archiver (WinRAR, 7-Zip).
   • Right-click the downloaded file and select "Extract to OutOfLife_Launcher" from the menu.
3. Launch and install the game.
   • Open the OutOfLife_Launcher folder that appears.
   • Run the OutOfLifeLauncher.exe file.
   • When you first launch the game, Windows may display a "Security Warning." Click "More details" and then "Run anyway."
   • In the launcher window, click "Install / Update." The launcher will automatically download the latest stable version of the game.
   • After the download is complete, click "Play."

Warning! In rare cases, the launcher may become unstable due to antivirus or firewall settings. If you encounter download errors, use Method 2.

Method 2: Downloading and unzipping the full game archive (the most reliable method)

This method is suitable if the launcher isn't working or you need an offline copy of the game.

1. Download the game archive.
   • On the official website, go to the "Downloads" section.
   • Select one of the suggested mirror links (Direct Link, MEGA.nz, or Google Drive).
   • The file will be named OutOfLife_Chapter1.zip.
2. Unzip the game.
   • The downloaded archive is approximately 8-10 GB. Make sure you have enough disk space.
   • Right-click the archive and select "Extract to Out of Life".
3. Launch the game.
   • Go to the unzipped Out of Life folder.
   • Find and run the OutOfLife.exe file.

Common problems and solutions:

• The game doesn't launch or crashes immediately:
  • Install the latest graphics card drivers.
  • Install the Visual C++ Redistributable and DirectX libraries.
  • Add the game folder and OutOfLife.exe file to your antivirus exceptions.
• Severe lag and slowdowns:
  • In the game's main menu, go to Settings → Graphics.
  • Set Quality Preset to "Low" and reduce Crowd Density.
• The launcher isn't downloading the game:
  • Run the launcher as administrator or use Method 2.
