Optimus Prime is a powerful hero and the Leader of the Autobots.

If he had been on Earth, he would be a doctor, a mechanic, a scientist and a warrior. But on Cybertron there is no difference between these professions. So Optimus uses his skills to heal and repair - which are the same things to Autobots - to improve the world around him and, if necessary, to fight. Both in power and intelligence, he has no equal. He has the personality of an Abraham Lincoln. He can be immensely kind and his compassion extends to all that lives, including the creatures of Earth. Yet he will battle unceasingly to protect the weak and defend what he believes in. To accomplish this, Optimus knows that the Decepticons must be defeated for all time.

His current enemy is Darth Grievous who wants to enslave the entire univese. During the Transformers Wars he was hailed as a hero for killing both Nemesis Prime and Darth Grievous and used the Matrix of Leadership to counter the dark power of the Chaos Crystal and bring back the Golden age for both the Star Wars and the Transformers Universes.

History

In the last three episodes of season one Optimus Prime help liberate Utapau from the evil Nemesis Primes forces. He shoot the Nemesis Primes spark ten times and then the evil clone dies from a chain reaction started in his spark.

In Season 2 Optimus Prime became a Hero to the Autobots and the Universe as he defends Cybertron from a massive invasion and help destroy the Malevolence II.

In season three he was injured by Darth Grievous, Gigatron, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Starscream in Chapter 25 to Chapter 29 but in the final episode he was repaired and just when he was about to be killed by Darth Grievous Optimus Prime defeated Darth Grievous and Nemesis Prime in a titanic battle by using the Matrix to destroy the Sith. He later used the Matrix to help restore freedom to all sentient beings, destroy the Chaos Crystal and restore the Golden age of the Star Wars and Transformers Universes. Later he and several other Autobots were hailed as Heros on many planets and declaring the end of the Transformers Wars on all over the news and on HoloNet with Preceptor, Jetstorm and Ultra Magnus standing next to Prime.

Powers and Abilities

In robot mode, Optimus Prime actually splits into three components. The Optimus module is the robotic sentient being that is the storehouse of his vast knowledge and strength. He can lift 4000,000 lbs. and a blow from his fist exerts a force of 12,000 lbs. per sq. inch. He carries a laser rifle and can burn a hole in the nosecone of a Decepticon jet fighter at a distance of 30 miles, aided by his outstanding visual acuity. His Prime module, also known as Roller, is a small cart-shaped device that he uses to unobtrusively slip behind enemy lines. He can maintain radio control over it at distances up to 1200 miles. Having Roller present somewhere is like being there himself. He can operate by remote-control his Combat Deck module up to a distance of 1500 feet. The Auto-Launcher mounted on the Deck can use a variety of artillery and radiation beam weapons, including most of those used by his fellow Autobots. The Launcher also includes a highly dexterous grapple-arm which allows it to load itself and change its weaponry. The communications disk antenna mounted on the launcher provides a link between Optimus and all his fellow Autobots within a radius of 50 miles. It can be adapted to a satellite hook-up that increases its effective range 10-fold.

Optimus Prime also has the Matrix of Leadership for lighting the most darkest hour, kill Sith Lords and bring back the golden age for the universe.

Classics Optimus Prime is an all-new modern Optimus Prime design based upon the original Optimus Prime, as is the intention for the Classics toyline. He transforms into a modern cab-over style truck of made up model, dominated by a large aero fairing on his roof. He was not designed to pull a trailer, and subsequently does not come with one.

In robot mode, his aero fairing transforms into a large ion blaster, and his smokestacks transform into a smaller blaster. Additionally, both can combine together to form a back-mounted shoulder weapon.

As with most Classics toys, he features a heat-sensitive rubsign.

This mold was repainted into Classics Ultra Magnus, BotCon 2008 "Shattered Glass " Optimus Prime and the San Diego ComicCon 2008 exclusive Nemesis Prime.
