Optimus Prime is a powerful hero and the Leader of the Autobots. He is a veteran warrior who defeated Megatron years ago by using the Matrix to destroy him. He has a high rank known as Prime.

If he had been on Earth, he would be a doctor, a mechanic, a scientist and a warrior. But on Cybertron there is no difference between these professions. So Optimus uses his skills to heal and repair - which are the same things to Autobots - to improve the world around him and, if necessary, to fight. Both in power and intelligence, he has no equal. He has the personality of an Abraham Lincoln. He can be immensely kind and his compassion extends to all that lives, including the creatures of Earth. Yet he will battle unceasingly to protect the weak and defend what he believes in. To accomplish this, Optimus knows that the Decepticons must be defeated for all time.

His current enemy is Darth Grievous who wants to enslave the entire universe and eradicate the transformers. During the Transformers Wars he was hailed as a hero for killing both Nemesis Prime and Darth Grievous and used the Matrix of Leadership to counter the dark power of the Chaos Crystal and bring back the Golden age for both the Star Wars and the Transformers Universes.

History

During the Great War between Cons and Bots Optimus Prime once use the Matrix to destroy Unicron in the Earths Core but it made him lost his memories about his own name and the wisdom of the ancients thus tricked by Megatron into thinking he is Orion Pax and joins Megatrons army. Knock out even gave him the Decepticon symbol on his body. His memory was later restored by Jack Darby. Optimus Prime destroyed the Omega Lock with the Star Saber and escape Cybertron but the Decepticons found out Team Primes secret base and had to evacuate everyone while Optimus Prime stays behind to destroy the Ground bridge. As he was about to destroy the ground bridge the Decepticon warship blown up the Autobot base. Optimus Prime survived but badly injured until the Forge of Solus Prime was used to restore Optimus Prime into fighting shape. With a Jetpack and a new body Optimus Prime destroyed the Decepticon Fortress on Earth and making the Decepticons retreat to their warship.

The Transformers Wars

Optimus Prime was a peacekeeper who befriends with many alien species. After the death of Megatron Optimus Prime was able to have another golden age of Cybertron. In the last three episodes of season one Optimus Prime help liberate Utapau from the evil Nemesis Primes forces. He tried to punch Nemesis Prime but Nemesis Prime used his cape to teleport behind Optimus Prime. Optimus and Nemesis Prime got into a lightsaber fight and Nemesis Prime tries to escape Utapau by transforming into his purple truck mode with Optimus Prime following him. Optimus Prime was about to fall off the ledge but he pull out his Ion Rifle. He aims and then shoot Nemesis Primes spark ten times and then the evil clone dies from a chain reaction started in his spark. He liberated more planets like Mandalore and even the planet Nelvaan. His Fleets of Minotaur class battlecruisers and Venator Star Destroyers were almost destroyed once due to a sith ambush.

In Season 2 Optimus Prime became a Hero to the Autobots and the Universe as he defends Cybertron from a massive invasion and help destroy the Malevolence II. He along with Ultra Magnus and Silverbolt were injured in a fight against Darth Grievous. The Autobots rescued the three leaders and had to replace Optimus Primes cosmatron with a new one. During a battle with Darth Grievous the evil sith lord open up a wormhole to banish the autobot into the Dark of the void if he does not accept joining the sith. He was thrown into the dark of the void by Darth Grievous's dark powers and was never to be seen again. He survived it though and the Autobots space bridge him out thus saving prime.

In season three he along with the other Autobot Leaders and Commanders were injured by Darth Grievous, Gigatron, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Starscream in Chapter 25 to Chapter 29 but in the final episode he was repaired when the Matrix is returned to his chest. He flies out of the Venator Star Destroyer to battled Darth Grievous and Nemesis Prime in a one on two match and during the battle Darth Grievous mega evolved and did one attack that hurts Optimus Prime the most. Injure all the Autobots, killed Trailbreaker, separated the combined Aerialbots, separated Optimus's Sonic Wing mode from Wing Saber, killed the Dinobots and 90 Jedi allies. He continues to try to slash the evil Demon Sith Lord with his Lightsabers and used his Cyber Key power to defeat Nemesis Prime. Darth Grievous used his cape to teleport behind Optimus Prime and grabbed him on the neck. Just when he was about to be killed by Darth Grievous Optimus Prime defeated Darth Grievous and Nemesis Prime in a titanic battle by using the Matrix to destroy the Sith. He later used the Matrix to help restore freedom to all sentient beings, destroy the Chaos Crystal and restore the Golden age of the Star Wars and Transformers Universes. He loaded the injured Wing Saber into his trailer and escaped the crumbling Sith fortress alive. Later he and several other Autobots were hailed as Heros on many planets and declaring the end of the Transformers Wars on all over the news and on HoloNet with Preceptor, Jetstorm and Ultra Magnus standing next to Prime. He later decided to connect the worlds in any universe together by building a new space bridge.

Dark Future

In Darth Grievous's vision of the future Optimus Prime was killed by Darth Grievous the Leader of the Sith Legion as he rallied the last of the Autobots most strongest warships to defend the Autobots. Optimus become the last Autobot to die and as he died he said "Forgive me Zeta Prime! I tried my best...".

Powers and Abilities

In robot mode, Optimus Prime actually splits into three components. The Optimus module is the robotic sentient being that is the storehouse of his vast knowledge and strength. He can lift 4000,000 lbs. and a blow from his fist exerts a force of 12,000 lbs. per sq. inch. He carries a laser rifle and can burn a hole in the nosecone of a Seeker jet fighter at a distance of 30 miles, aided by his outstanding visual acuity. His Prime module, also known as Roller, is a small cart-shaped device that he uses to unobtrusively slip behind enemy lines. He can maintain radio control over it at distances up to 1200 miles. Having Roller present somewhere is like being there himself. He can operate by remote-control his Combat Deck module up to a distance of 1500 feet. The Auto-Launcher mounted on the Deck can use a variety of artillery and radiation beam weapons, including most of those used by his fellow Autobots. The Launcher also includes a highly dexterous grapple-arm which allows it to load itself and change its weaponry. The communications disk antenna mounted on the launcher provides a link between Optimus and all his fellow Autobots within a radius of 50 miles. It can be adapted to a satellite hook-up that increases its effective range 10-fold. When combined with Wing Saber he becomes the formidable Sonic Wing Mode which flies at the speed of light and is armed with two lightsaber proof swords and various military weapons. He also has a chrono rift device that can slow down any air and ground warriors including Starscream but it only lasts for 10 minutes.

Optimus Prime also has the Matrix of Leadership for lighting the most darkest hour, kill Sith Lords and bring back the golden age for the universe and cannot be corrupted by any evil at all.

Personality and traits

Optimus Prime is the most nice Autobots and was also the most serious Autobot Commanders in the Autobot military. He respects all species and he was one of the best heros seen in action. He loves basketball and various human related sports but sometimes he plays Starcraft II and War for Cybertron video games.

Classics Optimus Prime is an all-new modern Optimus Prime design based upon the original Optimus Prime, as is the intention for the Classics toyline. He transforms into a modern cab-over style truck of made up model, dominated by a large aero fairing on his roof. He was not designed to pull a trailer, and subsequently does not come with one.

In robot mode, his aero fairing transforms into a large ion blaster, and his smokestacks transform into a smaller blaster. Additionally, both can combine together to form a back-mounted shoulder weapon.

As with most Classics toys, he features a heat-sensitive rubsign.

This mold was repainted into Classics Ultra Magnus, BotCon 2008 "Shattered Glass " Optimus Prime and the San Diego ComicCon 2008 exclusive Nemesis Prime.
