Opossaroo is a future descendants of Virginia opossums that survived and evolved into kangaroo-like herbivores. They fill the similar niche to true kangaroos and are mainly grazing animals. They have three forms of locomotion, walking, galloping, and hopping. They are usually very social animals that live in groups up to about 28.

The Virginia opossum was the earliest ancestor of the opossaroo.
After the Late Holocene ended, humans are now gone and many small species in North America have survived the mass slaughter from humans. One of these small animals was the Virginia opossum. Over time, Virginia opossums started to grow bigger, about the size of a medium sized dog and finally about the size of a large kangaroo. They also became fully herbivorous and mostly grazing animals. They started to develop longer back legs suited for galloping and hopping. They started to become much more social animals. Virginia opossums had evolved into opossaroos.
